You needn't worry about the pan size. Heat 'inducts' into the pan. The remainder of the burner doesn't get very hot.

What is induction?

Asked by Eddie January 22, 2021

Induction cooktops are electric since they don't use gas or another flame to heat. However, what sets them apart from regular electric cooktops is the manner in which they heat. ... Induction heating occurs using electromagnetic radiation. See, induction cooking uses magnets to distribute heat.. They are almost as sensitive as gas but need cookware that a magnet will stick to. The cookware is not expensive but ordinary cookware will not work. We love ours, as I had never cooked on anything but gas. Induction is quicker and cooks more evenly than ordinary electric.

Love my Induction Air Fry Range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just remodeled my kitchen & have always wanted an induction range. Decided on the Frigidaire model because it was the most cost effective & had the extra air fry feature; plus I’ve had good experiences with their kitchen appliances. After 1 month of usage, I have to say I’m really happy with my purchase & would recommend the Frigidaire induction range to friends & family.

Beauty and function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I patiently waited for new Frigidaire induction stove and am excited to get back to real cooking. I recently bought a home that does not have a natural gas hook-up option and had an old coil electric range. As a totally foodie who loves to cook and bake, I knew the coil stove would not let me enjoy my love of cooking. Frigidaire gave me an option to enjoy cooking with the instant temperature control of an induction stove (similar to the control of a gas range) while still being a much more affordable price than all other induction options on the market. Thrilled by far! Thank you

Overpriced, poorly designed, faulty performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this about a year and a half and I would not recommend this oven. 1. Poor user design Don't think this was tested. When cooking, it's easy to lean into the touch panel and inadvertently turn off or change the setting of the burners. It's actually ironic because it is often quite difficult to press the buttons to initially turn on and set a burner. Cannot even count how many times we have been unaware that we've turned off or changed the setting of a burner until the food starts burning unexpectedly or just stops cooking. And the timer. OMG. It is so painful - I appreciate its snooze like function so it will keep going off until it's shut off, but if the oven is shut off, why isn't the timer shut off with it? So many times we've had to go back and shut it off and I think it's probably because someone may want to use the timer without the oven. But it's an annoyance. And the buttons are often so hard to press - the same ones that magically work when you lean into them by mistake. 2. Poor quality stainless This oven looks like it's been through 5 years in a frat house. The front panel's stainelss is hacked and scratched. It looks awful, see pics 3. Poor quality burners None of the burners work consistently. Every one of them has a hotspot, usually to the upper right quadrant. our food is always burned there and uncooked elsewhere 4. Inconsistent oven It usually runs super hot but if you adjust for it it takes forever to cook 5. The clean features don't really clean well. I have read that most customers want self-cleaning ovens and manufacturers make them despite knowing that they can fry the electrical components. The self clean works ok but doesn't get rid of all burned on grease. The steam clean doesnt really seem to do anything 6. Air fry feature is mediocre - I guess it works but doesn't seem to work consistently or much differently than convection as that is really what it is It's not a horrible oven - it's better than the Samsung we bought previously. But I can't really recommend it at this price point.

Love the cooking control of the induction and the option to air fry with the oven!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The cooking control on the stove top is amazing. It boils water so quickly. It is terrific. Easy to clean and the air fry option is very convenient. So far we love this stove.

Love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Induction is the only way to go. I have been experimenting with boiling different amounts of water and even people with gas stoves are amazed how fast it warms up. No regrets. I havent tried the air fryer yet though, but that feature is just a bonus for me.

A piece of Art!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Frigidaire convection range on August 17th, due to COVID there was a delay in getting my range...It was well worth the wait, I LOVE IT!!! I look forward to cooking now and it’s beautiful in my little kitchen it’s a piece of ART. I’m still unpacking and see my Frigidaire range as the bright spot in my home right now.

Almost perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is only one problem I have with my new range. It doesn’t allow timed baking or airfry. It is very annoying, if you try to airfry something and all you can set is the timer to alert you when the time is over. Hopefully you will not be in the middle of doing something else and can run back to the range to turned it off. Otherwise your food might be overcooked. But that is the only problem I have with my new range. Made German rye bread and sourdough bread which came out nice and crisp. - perfect. No problem baking at 530 degree Fahrenheit to get that crust crisp. Same with Focaccia. Just will keep using my separate air fryer instead of the built in one.

Perfect for Thanksgiving
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were without a range for several months waiting for a GE induction range that was backordered, so we were getting desperate for any induction range. The Frigidaire was the only one we could find that would be delivered in a decent timeframe. But wow, I am so happy we ended up with this range! I had never used induction before so I am still getting used to the nuances. I love how I can boil water in less than two minutes. The front control panel is easy to use and intuitive. This range came in time for Thanksgiving and it cooked our turkey perfectly in a reasonable amount of time! We've also baked cookies successfully. Can't wait to try the air fryer out soon.

Everything I expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first induction range, and we were excited to invest in this unit for our kitchen. We were a little leery based on some of the reviews we had seen regarding the controls for the unit as some of the reviewers were saying that the buttons were frustratingly too sensitive or not enough. We've not had that concern now that we've had this in our home for a few weeks. When you press the buttons, the oven does a second beep after you reach your desired setting and it's taking a little time to get use to that. The second beep is often as you're moving your hand away from the oven (it's more of a confirmation tone) but on more than one occasion has made me double check to make sure the setting itself hasn't changed. It's not really a flaw, just more of something unique to this oven “to learn.” We looked everywhere in our local market to find a store that carried this unit in stock so we could look at it ourselves but were not successful in that effort. We ended up blindly making the purchase off the Internet and hoped for the best. The cook top was an area of concern. For cleanability, we do not like how some other brands have a rubber gasket around the edge of the glass top where it meets the metal. This unit does not have that sort of design feature. The metal folds and connects tightly with the glass surface. I would describe the burner sizes as one large, two medium, and a small. The oven door does not seem to have a fixed open point and holds at the angle you set it at. We like this as you don't feel like the oven door is going to spring back closed unexpectedly to some preset. Be sure to check all your cookware to make sure it's compatible with the induction range by using a magnet as the literature suggests. We did have to replace some of our cookware, but we found there are plenty of options on the market and when you make an investment like this what's the big deal to make a small additional investment in some good cookware right? Overall, we're incredibly happy with our purchase and we're looking forward to buying more Frigidaire appliances as we finish our kitchen.
