A:  Sadly, we don't all use it and I come in, turn it on, set the heat manually to the temp. I want and then turn it off when I'm done. Easy peasy. I have noticed that the time returns to the correct time, so that's encouraging from your question, though I don't generally pay attention to or use it for the time. It does require a dedicated line to your electrical box. Bottom line, it has been a great addition to our usually cold bathroom.

A:  Most of the time the power comes back on and it resumes operation according to its schedule. This isnt always true. i've had to reset it after some power outages. I dont know why sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. This is a fancy unit and I like it but it is not standing the test of time as i hoped it would. The LCD has blank spots and the remote is toast. i've had it a few years now. If i could go back i would have got one with a dial. Its nothing to go flip it on when you want and turn it off when you're done and leave for work.

Q:Is the grill plastic or metal

    Answer This Question

    A:  Its plastic.

    by|Dec 27, 2019

A:  The grill on this unit is plastic.

      by|Dec 27, 2019

A:  It is plastic. Had heater for several years. It still "works" but the lcd is missing spots and does not fully light up anymore. The remote has long stopped working. I would not purchase this again, I would go for the cheaper analog model. When this fully dies it will be a pain because im sure the analog models require a smaller hole in the wall.

Installation by a reasonable competent home DIY installer is easy. Electrical safety is important and the 120 volt unit make it easy. However, this is no beast when it comes to heat output. Best to take the edge off the chill but not to be the sole heating unit in cold climates.

This heater is the worst product ever. I followed the installation instructions and the installation video for installation. When i turned the power on to the circuit, the touch screen had no power an the fan was running on high and full heat. I tried to use the remote and that did not work. The unit then blew up and caught fire causing toxic smoke to fill the room. I turned the breaker off and disconnected it from the power source. I tried to contact the manufacturer as suggested on the item if there were any issues. I was sent to voicemail and never received a call back DO Not Purchase this item its a severe hazard. Im lucky it didn't burn down my house!

Electronics started going haywire after a year. Changes temp, time and program on own. It is unusable at this point because it constantly changes the temp to very high then very low, over and over. Replacement part was $180!!

Purchased this heater about 6 years ago. i needed one that I thought would work good for my bedroom because I removed the baseboard heater because put in a sliding door where the baseboard heater was. It did its job to keep it warm but the fan is noisy (was able tolerate). On 11/24/2017 my wife turned it on to warm up the bedroom before going to bed and when I came in two hours later the heater said 78 degrees and when she turned it on it was set at 68 degrees. When i went to turn it off it wouldn't turn off and I tried the remote it still wouldn't turn off. I took the panel off the front and reset it so I could turn it off. Today (11/25/2017) I took it out of the wall. What if I had turned it on and had to go some where? I didn't find out that because as explained don't have to worry about it. The only reason for one star is because of the above mentioned. I feel the thermostat was going out or the digital panel was going bad or both.

Excellent source of heat for the garage. We use it all the time in the winter months.
