Can this unit work on standard 120v house wiring?

Asked by: Blurcardi
No, but if your wiring is "standard", 240v is probably available.

Can this unit be wired from the right? is electrical feed hole in the back or on the side?

Asked by: tazz
the panels on either side is were the wiring comes up from the bottom, but there are knockouts on top and bottom, either side, if you need to wire that way.

What size breaker will this need? I understand it will have to be a double pole to get 240v but how many amps? 15, 20?
Asked by: Mike
750 Watts at 240 volts is about 3.1 amps, so a 15 amp breaker is sufficient if you are wiring it in a separate circuit. Make sure to follow your local electrical code which may specify something different or additional. If you aren't sure, hire a pro. If you do non-compliant electrical work that results in a fire, most insurance companies will not cover it.

Does this heater come all equipment or do i need to buy other materials

Asked by: Appps
If you don’t already have a thermostat you will need a wall thermostat or you can use the unit mounted control available separately. It’s about $20. Oh and you will need wire nuts.

It's a bit tricky to get it screwed to the wall. There should be better knock outs for the screws. So far so good! It's installed and looks great, turns on and heats up. I cannot attest to the overall performance since it's 80+ degrees here right now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought a broken one Only complaint is it didn't work. Bought a broken one. The safety switch I side was broken. Will have to get another one. Can't blame home depot. Just a bad heater I guess. Picked a winner. Wishb I could pick a winno by lottery ticket

Rated 1 out of 5 by from User-UNFRIENDLY Of all the DIY projects I have ever done (Ive done a ton), this has just been the worst. This company builds the baseboard and the switch you have to buy to use it. 1) the baseboard insructions tell you to refer to the switch instructions then 2) the switch wiring diagram is so absolutely useless I had to go to youtube. And after that it was still not hooked up right until the third try. Then the holes in the back all have to punched out and none are in a convenient location. Then the switch (again built by same company) doesnt match up properly with the edges of the baseboard and screwing the darn thing back on was just a nightmare. I wouldnt recommend either of these products to anyone. Totally user UNFRIENDLY.
