The Farberware Professional Complete Dishwasher can be placed on any countertop or sturdy table and gives you the choice of using its built-in water tank or a quick faucet hookup. It offers 5 different wash cycles and can also be used to steam-clean baby bottles or give your glassware a sparkling clean finish.

Q:Will this work on a shelf below the countertop? So would the waste water be pumped up to the sink drain?

A:  No it will not pump up. You can use a bucket below the shelf and let it drain into the bucket. The dishwasher must be above the drain for it to work properly. Hope that helps answer your question.

As a perpetual renter this is the first dishwasher I’ve ever owned and it is everything I hoped it would be. The dual option of faucet hookup and reservoir is the reason I chose this model and I am infinitely pleased.

TL;DR: if you can spare the extra space, go for a cheaper alternative. I've owned this model for about 1.5 months and only use it on the normal wash settings to clean everyday dishes. I bought this particular model because it was the most compact I could find. If I were to look again, I might pick a better-rated model even if it meant not fitting as well in my kitchen. It does a fine job of cleaning dishes-- although I have to briefly rinse dishes and wipe off residue before loading into the dishwasher. Even then, I sometimes get uncleaned spots after a cycle. It saves time in the dish-washing process, but is by no means a miracle solution. Like I mentioned, it is definitely the smallest I could find which was one of my priorities given my kitchen is very small. Not having to worry about having the correct hardware for a sink hookup is really nice. I tried to install the faucet hose for filling, but I didn't have the right size faucet so I manually fill the tank each time (which is inconvenient but not terrible). The big problem for me is that the price is too high for what you're getting -- a lot of the features are nice, but not worth almost double what a cheaper, highly-rated alternative would cost.

    I've had this machine for about 3 weeks now. And I really love it! I didn't have a space to put a full dishwasher and this little machine is just magic. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher for people who don't think they have room for one. It's a tiny powerhouse.
