I bought the house with a kitchen ceiling fan with a light kit already there. We put new LED lights in the ceiling, so removed the light kit. I needed the cap to cover the wires, and this was perfect. It looks so much better now!

I wanted to change the light fixture in a 20+ year old ceiling fan. Needed to have a new switch cap for the new light fixture since the old light fixture was securely fastened to the switch cap. this new cap was the ONLY cap I could find so it had to work even if it wasn’t perfect. It’s larger than the old fans housing for the light fixture, but I could secure it on the outside of the old housing. Better than buying a whole new fan and fixture.

Since Home Depot emails a review request for this item at least once a month I figured it's time to review it. I ordered a light kit for an existing ceiling fan that did not include a cap. The end result- I could not install the new light kit. Darkness fell upon the room, a darkness that I am unable to put into words. A soul breaking darkness that was darker than anything I or my family have experienced. Not knowing what to do I searched high and low for a solution. I consulted with NASA engineers, sought wisdom from monks at the foot of mountains in Tibet, submitted my problem to local universities, who used this problem as a thesis for some of the engineering students. At every turn I came up empty. The darkness continued. Then one day I went to the HD website. Not knowing the term for the cap I searched everything I could think of, to no avail. Until put in the fateful words, "switch cap." Low and behold I came upon the Air Cool Farmington 52 in. Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan Replacement Switch Cap. Not carried in stores, I had to order it. As I waited for delivery I was able to take solace in the fact that the darkness would soon be a thing of the past. Finally the ACF52IORBCFRSC arrived. There was great rejoicing far and wide, from Florida to Tibet, monks, engineers and students were overjoyed at my success. I installed the cap and light kit with great anticipation. The darkness subsided, light filled the room and all was well. I can say, without hesitation, that this is the best ACFIORBCFRSC on the market and it far exceeds my expectations.

Mike, these are not universal fan blades. These blades are designed for the Hampton Bay Farmington model fan only. Sorry for any confusion. HamptonBayEdYano

It's a wonderful product for what it does. The problem is this is not what i needed. It costs more to send it back than keep it. i will find a use for it somewhere. I still need a brass cap with a loop on it to hold a chain with the ability to be wired into the ceiling.
