A: Not sure if that is the nominal size. You can special order cutdown doors to a smaller height but cannot adjust the widths.

Q:Recently installed and now giving off a heavy chemical smell (only noticed a subtle smell at the store). There is no storm door and does get some south facing sun. This door is in the room of a child. How long does this last/best way to deal with?

A: Same response as our previous response. This is just the natural smell of raw fiberglass and will dissipate but may be stronger odor due to higher temperatures. This is assuming that the door has been fully painted along with top rail, it is an unfinished door and does need to be painted. So if not painted it should be painted as soon as possible. Q:What is the height of the inside face of the threshold (subfloor to top level of metal)? I?m trying to determine if I need to raise the subfloor height to clear carpet when door swings (we have 1/2? hardwood with ~3/4 inch carpet behind).

A: Threshold is 1-3/8" which allows for 1" swing clearance.

Perfect door for the money!

Beautiful solid door decent installation. Used a satin rust oleum clearcoat to frost the window. So only light comes through but visual is distorted.

So far so good!

We just got this installed tonight and so far I'm in love! Install went seamlessly for our installer. Note: I did attempt to paint myself and totally messed it up, but I do believe this I just user error. Looking forward to seeing how this door holds up.

Great value

I installed three of these doors this weekend and I couldn’t be happier. The doors went in quick and did not take much time to get them plumb and aligned properly. They open and close smoothly and seem to have a good, weather-tight seal. There were two of us installing the doors which made it a lot easier and quicker. For the price, you can not beat this door. There are similar looking doors that are special order and cost 2-3 times as much and this door was in stock at my local Home Depot. You can’t go wrong with this door.

The doors look great installed. It did take some time...

The doors look great installed. It did take some time for the carpenters to put in which I don’t think is good for something that’s prehung and supposed to be an easy installation. Another issue was that the frame and saddle were not as deep as my original door frame and saddle so a lot of adjustments had to be made. The quality of the door is sturdy. Takes a few coats of exterior paint for it to really look good. Overall installation and paint process- long and tedious. Stability and Final outcome is good.
