AnswersIf you have a storm door just remember to keep it vented at all times. Door should be fine with holding up to the exposure, every 2-3 years you will need to reapply a polyurethane with uv inhibitors to protect the stain finish.

Leaks in winter
Their doors are horrible and the company refuses to do anything about it. This door leaks snow and ice. May look good, but don't be deceived. I added a storm door and still get leakage. See attached pics. Never buy another feather river door again.

Easy Installation, great look that enhanced the appearance of our front door. Price was 150 lower than a very similar used door at our local Restore facility, its understandable why they viewed it so expensive there. Wonderful transaction all the way around including the help from the store in loading it into our van. \

This door is absolute Junk!! Do Not Buy
The pre-hung frame is sitting in the opening square and level and the door panel was installed in the pre-hung frame crooked not only that but the door panel itself is warped leaving a huge gap so that the door doesn’t even touch the gasket (see pic)! NOW WHAT?!
My old door is in the garbage. Am I supposed to rip this out to return it?!?! I did read the other poor reviews about warping the mullions on south side installs but this is a completely different situation the entire panel is warped and installed wrong in the frame.
DO NOT BUY THESE FEATHER RIVER DOORS!!

door is cheap and poor quality
bought this door based on being on the lower end of the price range and not wanting to spend $1,500 . the door itself is ok, tons of imperfections in the finish once I got it installed and wiped it down. the frame is so cheap it nearly falls apart when securing it. what really got me hot though was the worthless screws it comes with to drill thru the hinges into the frame of the house. all 3 heads broke off using the drill! I had to use a saw to cut them and spent an hour drilling them out so i could use new screws. overall, spend the money and get a quality door.

Not sure what you mean about the jamb falling apart but the same jamb that we have used on millions of doors sold which is the standard primed fingerjoint pine jamb found on most in stock prehung door units- will look into the screws but have not heard this issue before- especially if you predrill per the instructions. very beautiful but beware!!!
Love the look of this door but i didnt do any research before buying it. Purchased it for the front of my 100 yo farmhouse and it DID look great but we also put on a storm door in front of it. Recently noticed a crack all the way across ir and I was going to make a complaint for warrenty and then reading it i found out that this door is highly susceptable to heat!!! In the evenings my front door is only partly shaded and it can get very hot betweem the storm door and this door which in the fine print says the door may crack. Its also melting and falling apart in the corners of the windows. Very disappinted. $500 and it will be garbage in another couple of years. DO NOT buy this door if it will have a storm door and get any sunlight!!

We appreciate the review and comments. The issue is not the door but more placing a storm door in front of any entryway. Due to the heat buildup between the storm door glass and door can cause damage to the door- warp- crack- warped lite frame. We recommended a vented storm door or trying to ventilate a full view to create air flow to cutdown on the amount of heat buildup. Items such as an overhang or less exposure to sun will help reduce heat.
