How about providing some installation instructions on the website or in the box?!?!

AnswerHi Jeremy, installation instructions can be found on the product page of Lowe's.com by scrolling down the page and clicking on guides and documents. You will find a button to download the pdf installation guide. You can also find a video on our youtube channel. Just search Liberty bracket on youtube. Will this brace support a 23” granite countertop overhang on a kitchen island if I mount it to a ...

AnswerA 23" overhang would require a 20" support bracket. So a 12" bracket would not be enough support. You would need to purchase the 20" Liberty and install every 12-18" for the length of the span. A Liberty is also designed for a knee wall application, you mention an island. If there is not knee wall a different support will need to be used. A Federal Brace Harmony, Freedom, or Provencial will work in an island application.

No instructions provided on HomeDepot product website page or included in the box. No hardware included. Company needs to do a better job providing product to consumer. Now I need to go out and try to "figure" this out. It's literally a piece of steel with two holes in it. Too expensive in my opinion, but required for granite installation, so the company has the upper hand.

Install instructions can be found on the Federal Brace website along with an install video to assist you with installation. It wasn't clear that the 12" braces were really 16".....

It wasn't clear that the 12" braces were really 16".. That caused issues as they were too long. I had to have them cut down as the correct size wouldn't have arrived in time...
