Feit Electric's 18-Watt Ballast Bypass (Type B) Non-dimmable Linear LED Tubes replace T8 and T12 fluorescent and LED tubes. They require direct wiring by bypassing the existing ballast. This added installation step enables efficient operation and less maintenance over time. They emit 1800 Lumens of bright LED light. Choose from four white light options (Bright white 3000K, Cool White 4000K, Daylight 5000K or Daylight Deluxe 6500K) before installing so you always have the right light for any job. They are a bright, reliable choice for many residential or commercial lighting including living rooms, garages, warehouses, offices, workshops, basements, convenience stores, retailers, classrooms and more. T4815/4CCT/B/LED/2 LED linear tubes offer flicker-free, instant-on illumination with no warmup time needed to enjoy superior light quality. They are mercury-free, with a shatter-resistant coating for safe and easy disposal. Each high-quality bulb offers accurate color-rendering, for more vibrant, true-to-life colors. Lower heat emission extends the life of the tube and ends do not turn black or burn with age. The estimated energy cost is only $2.17 per year, saving energy over equivalent fluorescent tubes. Switch to Type B LED linear light bulbs and get up to 50,000-hours of life. That's 45.7-years of superior light with 3-hours of daily use.

        Q:I just checked and my sockets are shunted. Do I need to replace all my sockets with non shunted to use these Type B bypass linear LED bulbs?

          These worked great in my fixtures (which I had altered by bypassing the ballast). The switch for selecting the white level is quite handy.

                I am very satisfied with my purchase. My existing lights were working intermittently, if at all. I saw that people had great success installing fluorescent led lights that bypassed the ballast on YouTube, so I decided to give it a try. Bypassing the ballast was easy peasy, and the lights really light up the room.

                      I really appreciate having the ability to choose the type of light that I want and being able to do it in the place where the actual light will be! Often, when I shop for bulbs, I have no idea what to choose, Warm, Daylight, Bright White, etc.Those descriptions mean nothing to me nor do I know the difference between 3000K or 6500K when the bulb is on the shelf. These bulbs allow you to select the best lighting and you can compare it in real time! On top of that, they're inexpensive too!

                      Great Replacement for Old Fluorescent Bulbs
                      Great value at $14 for two bulbs. The light temperature is adjustable from 3000K to 6500K. It turns on instantly. You have to bypass the ballast, which is what I wanted. The old ballasts fail over time and it's best to remove them from the circuit.
