I assume you can afford the electric bill if you leave the bulb on all day. My understanding of plants are that they respond best of a cycle of light and dark. You know, sorta like it is if you plant your seeds out side rather than in the basement.
Thank you for your question. This LED plant grow light mimic the natural suns UV rays which allow the lights to promote plant growth, emitting spectrum wavelengths and color for photosynthetic response. This light is not meant to be a house light, but being around the light while tending the plants will not harm your skin, but as you would not stay in direct sunlight for to long, same principles apply to grow lights.
Thank you for your question. This bulb is more for a smaller area as it is the same size as a standard household bulb. If you are installing in a light fixture, you can also use the BR30, HD.com Internet #302049327, or the fixture, which does not need any additional fixture to install, HD.com Internet #302049784.
NO. I have my plants close to them and I've been leaving them on up to 16hrs/day. I've forgotten to turn them off a few times: once they were on for 48hrs straight. The plants are (mostly) doing great!
