The Fernco 2 in. PVC Compression Coupling eliminates the need for cement and mortar. It is ideal for compression sealing cast-iron sewer pipe. It seals drain, waste and vent connections. The PVC material is resistant to chemicals, UV rays and fungus growth.
- Corrosion proof and unaffected by acid or alkali
- No special tools or sealants required
- Maximum operating temperature of 120F

AnswersYes, PVC and ABS have the same outside diameter. Since there is no solvent involved, it is just jammed into the rubber gasket, ABS will work fine.

AnswersMy service hub flange is stamped 2 inch but my inside measurement was 3 inch. This part fits easy into the flange but once you use a little soapy water on your 2" pvc pipe use a rubber mallot till you hear it hit flush inside your hub.

It leaked when I first joined the sewer pipes all together. Once I installed the hanger supports I then re compressed the hub seal around the 2" pvc pipe and that seamed to solve the issue . I'm very satisfied. A little thicker of a seal would allow a more guaranteed sealing around pipes that are installed with a pitch to them like mine was. Other then that, I'm greatful! The job came out great. Thanks Fence for designing and marketing a great item.

Used this to mate 2" abs to a 2" cast...

Used this to mate 2" abs to a 2" cast iron hub on a 4" main pipe. After removing all the old lead, packing and original pipe. I used some soap as a lubricant on both the inside and outside of the service weight, and a few taps with a rubber mallet and it was good to go. Tip: Use a propane torch and just softened the lead enough to get a chisel in there and peel it away in a few pieces (doesn't need to fully melt the lead). Use the proper respirator for the fumes.

These donuts are of great value. However, this one did not fit my non-standard pipes from the year 1915. So I resorted to oakum/plastic sealer to make the connection. I will continue to patronize Fernco and Home Depot. Thank you.
