Fiberon is a quality product. It also comes in several colors/design to satisfy your tastes. The installation clips make the installation easier an keep the spacing uniform without drilling unsightly screws into the product. Fiberon also comes with an excellent warranty. As an installer, I recommend their product to all my customers.

Nice color. Easy to work with.
This decking worked out great for our deck replacement. Fairly easy to work with but spend the money on a good high tooth count blade to cut with. Color is slightly darker than what you see in pictures but still was what we were looking for.

Beautiful color and texture. Great price too!
The multi tone grey/tarnish color is beautiful. The texture of the wood adds a beautiful natural element. Easy to install. Looks amazing!! I will say I used the Trex brand clips because they were easier to use than the armorguard brand clips.

Consider using the ArmorGuard clips instead of a cheaper product
I built a beautiful deck using this product, and I found it very easy to work with. Reading many of the reviews, I see a lot of people saying that the boards are warped and hard to hold in place while setting the fasteners. I didn't find this to be the case at all. While there was some warpage, I found that if I started at one end and pushed the board firmly on the unsecured side, it was easy to get them close enough that when the fastener was set it would pull it in the last little bit. I don't know anything about the cheaper fasteners, but the ArmorGuard ones have the screw set at an angle so that as you finish tightening them they sock the board in tight to the previous one. As one reviewer mentioned, just be careful on the first board to get it straight, because the rest will follow it.

This composite decking is just as good as that Trex decking if not better. Has the same warrantee as Trex but most important that it's more affordable then Trex. Thanks

Sure, the grooved edge allows you to use hidden fasteners for a cleaner looking installation with no visible screw heads BUT there is a devil in the details: Unless you're deck joists are perfectly level with each other along their entire length, you just can't easily slip the grooved decking material onto the fasteners. I frequently found it necessary to apply my weight at low joist points as well as the need to have a helper stand on one end of the deck material while I struggled to position it onto double tangs of the fasteners attached to the previously laid string of grooved decking material. This had to be done in order to ensure that one end of the material would come lose while working all the fasteners into the groove. Many times I would also have to pry-up the double-tangs on a lower joist in order to get them into the groove. Rarely did simply tilting the deck material, as shown in the instructions for the fasteners, work for inserting the double tangs into the groove. To give you an idea of how difficult it can be to get these fasteners into the grooves, It took me19 days, working about 6 hours per day, to resurface an existing 242 sq ft deck. However, this time included removing about 3 strings of of the old composite decking material, each day followed by laying 3 strings each day, with an average of two butt joints per string. I employed this methodology so that I could use the old deck service as a work area until I got half of the new material down. You may need to use the end of a putty knife as a driver to knock the single tang part of the fastener into the groove of the previously affixed deck material. Another down-side of using these grooved boards is that only 6 butt-joint fasteners are provided in a $46+ box of hidden fasteners; thus, if you try to minimize wasted, expensive decking material with more butt joints, you will have to spend another $46+ for a box of ALL the fasteners to obtain just 6 additional butt-joint fasteners, since Home depot does not sell additional butt-joint fasteners in separate packages.

This product does look very nice and with the hidden Veranda clips, no screw heads and it is fairly easy to install. Cleans easy, no splinters, no painting. The boards are priced okay as compared to other similar products and with no painting they are reasonably priced. Those are the good things and why I did recommend the product. But there are down sides to this product: 1 - First I did use the Veranda brand clips and screws and they are very expensive 2 - About 1/3 of the 16 foot long boards were warped, so I had to use claps to hold each board against the last board as I screwing them down to keep the spacing even. Not a huge deal, but it's more difficult than the video I watched showing a two guys screwing them down with ease 3 - They are slippery when wet, so be careful 4 - The biggest down side of this product is how soft the finish it. Don't drop anything sharp or heavy on it, IT WILL leave a mark and/or scratch the surface. If the surface finish was a little harder and more resistant to scratching, I would give it a solid 4 stars, but I just cannot do that. To get the 5th star, all the boards would need to be straight and I shouldn't feel I got robbed buying the Veranda bland clips and screws. But it does look very nice!

                    Looks Great two years later.
We had our two-level deck built by a licensed builder. It is constructed of pressure treated lumber framing, with gray Armorguard decking and fascia. The builder saved a few bucks on the clips by buying the Fiberon brand from another lumber yard, but otherwise, all the materials were part of the Veranda Armorguard suite. Unlike the reviewer who said the cut surfaces were a different color from the skin, the gray material color is the same all the way through. The design, color scheme (gray deck, black railings, and black light posts at the corners - which I made from pressure treated), look great together. The deck has received raves from guests, and tradesmen we've had doing other jobs around the house. I power washed it a couple of months ago, and it looks fresh and new - really nice after two years. Highly recommend this product.

                    Excellent Value
This product was very easy to work with and I felt was an excellent value - at 1500 sf for this project was very helpful.. We used the 1/4" biscuit fasteners where we could (most of the deck), and the Cortex Fiberon Grey Birch plug system (bought elsewhere) for the boards on the border. As with all composite decking, it gets extremely hot in direct sunlight.
