Outstanding Railings
I am very pleased with this purchase. I'm using them on my deck and they really look great. However, I learned a few tips while installing the railings. 1: Make sure your posts are perfectly level. 2: The end pieces tend to fall off while you're working with them so a little tape to hold them to the railings helps. 3: The baluster are very difficult to insert so I used a file to create a very slight taper at each end. All in all, very well made and strong railing system. I really like that they are composite and not just plastic. Even the long sections, can be installed by one person (I'm 82).

    Balusters too loose
I purchased the fiberon Armorguard classic rail kit on 08/19-2020 . I was very disappointed when the balustars were inserted . It was not a snug fit as a matter of fact the holes had too much extra space.

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear the rail did not work well for you. The railing is designed to accommodate a 30-35 degree angle, so if you are on the lower end of the slope, or outside of that range, the balusters could be loose in the holes. FiberonHomeDepot

This is quality material and it should last a lifetime. It looks great as well. With that said they need to make some changes on this product as the current design is wasteful in that the sections, whether stairs or railing, will not always cover 6' or 8' because of the way the picket holes are cut. Between each picket is roughly 4" excepting the end, which only have 2." This cutting the ends shorter than the normal picket distance means at times it will not cover a 6' or 8'section. The ends should have the same distance as to each picket and then it would not occasionally require an 8' section to cover 6' or another 6' section with a post. The stair rails should also be available in 8' as well. Lastly, why they use a screw with a square head is nuts. Why in the world they would not use a 25 torx head screw baffles me. A torx head screw will take 3 times the stress and not slip, and would cost no more. If you call their help line they will tell you that at times their product will not make the span as it is advertised to do, but they sure leave that out of their videos and instructions. The only reason I can see for this is to sell you more product. A really great product with some dumb engineering.

Thank you for your review and for providing your feedback. The rails are designed to meet current building code requirements which is a 6' or 8' post center to post center measurement, but some deck configurations that are less than this could experience an issue when cutting the rails. We will provide your feedback about the screws and the request for an 8' stair rail to our engineering team for review. FiberonHomeDepot

      Great product
I used this product to replace a warped pressure treated railing on my deck. I did all the work myself (as a 58-yr-old woman) so here are some things I learned. One, it's a bit challenging to do with a large expanse without help. The first rail I followed the directions step-by-step. All went well until I had to try to place the top rail onto the balusters. It took me 45 minutes and a whole heck of a lot of colorful language. With the next rail. I marked and installed the lower brackets. Without locking in the lower rail, I rigged a template using a small scrap from the upper rail of the first section and a baluster. I marked and installed the upper brackets. Then I laid the lower rail on it's side on the deck. I inserted all the balusters. I then laid the upper rail on it's side on the deck and slowly worked the balusters into it's holes. I took two bungee cords and wrapped them around the whole rail section. Put the end caps on all four ends and taped them loosely. I then was able to pick up the whole rail section and slide it onto the brackets. A whole heck of a lot easier than trying to align a top railing onto a bunch of wobbling balusters.

Thank you for your review. The hardware for the stair rails are included in the railing kits, so they are not stocked in stores. They are available online if replacements or extra sets are necessary for the project. FiberonHomeDepot

Great product except depending on the slope of the stairs you may need to modify the end brackets, which I had to do.

Thank you for your review and for sharing you thought our rails were great. Our rails are required to meet code compliance requirements of 32 degrees and have limited flexibility on either side, but we are pleased they worked for you. FiberonHomeDepot
