anybody ever actually buy these

At over $ 9.25 each I have to wonder why not use steel T post from Home Depot and save nearly 4 bucks per post? A good farm jack makes T post just as portable and since the necessary distance between post is much farther with t post there are much fewer of them needed to do the same job so the real savings is much higher.

I just purchased these to put up an electric fence for my horses in my back yard. They are horrible. They are flimsy once put in the ground and the metal stud that goes into the ground seems to bend quite easily when you put your foot into the stirrup for placement. They are so unattractive and appear to prove unreliable in the long run that I am going to return them immediately. Steer clear of these. There are better ones out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best temporary fence posts available! I have purchased many different types of temporary fence posts for my farm and these are the best yet. Because they are so tall, I have peace of mind that my jumpers will respect them. They have lots of different hooks and slots to attach any kind of electrical fencing and the stirrups make them easy to push into the ground. The stirrups are also great for carrying many posts at once. I will convert all my temporary perimeter fencing to these posts. I've only had them for a couple of days so I can't comment on their durability but they seem as durable as the shorter ones that I have I wish they were available in Canada as it is a pain to order them from the U.S.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for poly tape fencing I had never seen stirrup step-in posts before searching Home Depot's site. These are perfect for poly tape horse fencing. There are multiple spaces for fasting every kind of fence, from single strand wire to garden fencing, to two inch poly tape. The stirrup post steps in 10" deep, and withstands a good deal of tension from the fencing attached to it. I can relocate pasture fence simply by pulling up the posts and stepping them in again in a new location. Combined with wooden corner posts, these posts make perfect pasture fencing.
