does the leather tend to expand or shrink with use, the size I was given are barely fit.

I had the same experience and figured out that you have to buy these particular gloves in the next size up from the one you normally wear - for instance if you normally wear a Large, buy these in Extra Large.

do they come 2xl

Absolute crap
They didn't last a day. I dug one hole, and by the end, there was a hole at the thumb/ hand junction. Whatever creature gave it's life for these gloves is thinner skinned than my father-in-law.

Save your money
Did not even last one week of outdoor yard work. Hole on index finger and stitching started to come apart. Save your money.

Firm grip indeed, I call these gloves Grab n' go! They give you a positive since of grip, safety, and security on what your holding on to....good job.

Stitching came apart after three weeks
As most people said they fit a bit small. But they moulded to my hand like leather does. I have a farm and thought I found the pair that will last. But after a few weeks the stitching started to come apart in the fingers. Now with Covid and no returns how do I replace these?

goodbut wont last
Nice and comfy but unfortunately not so tough. Three afternoons of building a concrete retaining wall and i have a bug hole in thw index finger. Ill stick to cheaper synthetic “tough work” gloves.

Unfortunately for heavy duty landscaping work these don't fit the bill. After spending just one weekend building a small dry-stacked retaining wall, the fingers on both hands developed holes. I guess for lighter tasks such as carpentry or generally moving they'd stay intact a bit longer. My wish with this "fair" review is that the manufacturing takes a closer look on how they label their vast array of gloves. It's a shame to spend $20+ and then have to tape the fingers after just two days.

The size runs small, so make sure you order a size up. To be honest I didn't like them at first, but they grew on me. I wore them for several hours doing hard brush removal. Using a machete, bank blade, hoe, mattock, and bow rake with these gloves was no problem. The reinforced areas seem to be holding up well while the smooth leather shows minor abrasions. The leather protected my hands from the various thorns and briers that I encountered---something that the latex covered nylon gloves I generally use fail miserably at doing. The pinky finger on these gloves are too long and the yellow dye transfered to my hands. The dye did disappear after two hand washings though. These gloves would be more suited for cold weather work since you don't want to be sweating on the leather. It's really tough for real leather gloves to compete with the cheap price of coated nylon gloves, so it would be the higher price that is the main drawback of these gloves.

Picking the right size online is always challenging and I picked the wrong one here. Fortunately, they're a perfect fit for my wife so she has a really nice pair of gloves! These gloves were well designed. Super-soft leather with double thickness palm and padding on the back to adsorb impacts. The Velcro wrist strap is the best feature. How many times are you picking up debris or pine needles and you get junk in your gloves. I'm sure it'll still happen but a lot less with these on. My silver lining with ordering the wrong size is the wife will be a lot more productive wearing them...Yeah, I'll let you know how that works out ;-)

This pair of gloves is flexible and snug yet reinforced on the index finger and palm. I like the tightening strap on the wrist (hook and loop fastener) as well. I am tall and thin, found the X-Large size fits well, the smaller sizes were too tight. Genuine leather is a big selling point with me as well as I need flexibility and durability which leather provides.

Most of the time I'd opt for a breathable synthetic glove for general purpose tasks or when dexterity is the prime objective. However when the daily task calls for demolition or heavy landscaping duties leather is the way to go. These are a prime replacement for my old and ageing gloves. Nice and soft with good flexibility but reinforcements where it counts and clean stitching. Fit feels good with no rough or oddly shaped deformities inside and as such no hot spots thus far. The sizing felt a little on the small size, they're starting to form to my hand after a few uses but I might have sized up one in hindsight and I'd suggest you do the same if you can't try them on prior to purchase.
