It's a bit on the beefy side, at first it was hard getting used to the maneuverability, but after figuring out that everything is a breeze.

Thank you for your inquiry. With this product in question not being a Fiskars product, I can not guarantee that it will work on our reel mower as it is not made specifically for our product. We do have a sharpening kit available that is specifically made to fit our Reel Mowers. https://www.fiskars.com/en-us/gardening-and-yard-care/products/reel-mowers/reel-mower-blade-sharpening-kit-362150-1001

Depends how fast you move, if you have any rocks or pebbles which will cause you to stop. I down my lawn which is a good size yard, plus a front yard and side in about two hours. I am a female. Ana

I meant to ask, "How do I unlock front wheels of Fiskars manual reel mower?"

Ive not had mine lock. The only time it seems to stop moving is if the grass is too tall or it gets stuck in a dip in the ground. I usually pull it back a bit and try forward again. As far as i know the wheels dont lock

My back wheels locked when hit sidewalk while mowing. How do I unlock them?

When it locks you want to put it on a flat surface. And roll it forward, then backward and it should unlock. If it keeps locking, I return one back to home depot and the second work well, kept box and receipts. Hope it helps. Ana

Loved it so much I've bought two
I purchased this mower at the recommendation of a coworker as I wanted a better, more even cut on my Bermuda lawn and was tired of dealing with gas. I had doubts about the product claims (and my coworker's) about the ease of use, but was pleasantly surprised to find it incredibly easy to push even on my hills. While thoroughly enjoying my lawn chores for the first time in a long time, especially since I shaved right at 45 minutes off my mowing time, hail damaged my roof and I had it replaced. Unfortunately, a heavy magnet and extensive manual searches didn't uncover all the nails spread across my yard. Though this mower sheared the nails clean, irreparable damage was done. I purchased a replacement but accidentally bought the cheaper model. I do NOT recommend that version over this - the price difference is actually a bargain. This mower has what I can best describe as a flywheel like you'll find on a multi-speed mountain bike, allowing the blades to spin at a high RPM and continue cutting even after stopping. The handle makes it easy to pick up and move to another location if your yard (like mine) isn't contiguous, and the adjustable cover that directs clippings is perfect. If too much time has passed and the grass is longer, allow the clippings to be thrown backward and avoid bogging down the blades. However, here in GA where Bermuda grows like crazy all summer, I have no issues keeping my lawn cut at 1" with weekly cuttings. It's much lower than my gas mower could reasonably achieve, but my yard looks like a golf course and is the nicest in my subdivision! If that's shorter than you're looking for or you're attacking longer grass, it's incredibly easy to adjust up to 4 inches. *Note: The attached picture is not in peak growing season but gives a general idea of the uniformity this mower easily achieves.

I've had this mower for a couple months. This mower cuts low grass on level surfaces easily. Anything else and it is a workout, setting a higher mow level at first and then going back over it with a lower setting. I like that I don't have to worry about electrical cords, or gas. It is quiet.

A little on the expensive side, but this has to be the best manual push mower available. The overall design is very good. You can tell a lot of thought went into it's development as you learn to work with it. It's also very pleasant to use and does a good job on most grasses. Some taller, thinner grasses may require more than one pass. The blade came perfectly adjusted from the factory, still feels very sharp, cuts well after a couple months of use and is easy to clean and lube. The only negative worth mentioning is the optional bag accessory. The wheels rub on the sides and it gets caught on the axle bolts at lower cutting heights, no matter how you adjust it. I have no doubt it will need to be replaced fairly regularly.

I cut my grass and exercise at the same time. I like the spindle-blade. I like that the cut grass goes ahead and not on my feet. I never have to worry about having gas nor running over the electric cord.

I've had this product for nearly three weeks and still can't use it due to it being shipped with the wrong handle parts. Two weeks ago Fiskar emailed me that they had shipped replacement parts. I still haven't received them.

I bought this push mower for my home in Mexico where I have Saint Augustine grass and this type of mower is perfect for Saint Augustine grass. Unlike your typical mower a reel mower provides a cleaner cut with less stress to this type of grass. What convinced me to purchase this specific mower was the brand and the overall design, as well as the fact that it does not require any fuel, doesn't make any noise, doesn't pollute, it's maintenance free and easy to handle. My daughter who is 10 pushed it once under my supervision without a problem and my father who is in his late 60's likes it very much and enjoys the exercise. Two things to keep in mind: You will have to give it a few passess where it is overgrown and you may struggle a bit initially as your trying to cut in, but that is to be expected if it is overgrown. Use caution when operating this mower and go nowhere hear the blades. Do not ever pull it by hand from the front, because the blades rotate at the slightest movement of the wheels and they are extremely sharp. So, if it becomes locked by a twig or a branch, try to cut through it or use a long tool to dislodge it, but do not ever under any circumstance stick your hand in the reel to try to dislodge anything, because it will cut your fingers off. I wear cut proof gloves just in case. So before you mowe make sure you prepare beforehand by removing twigs, branches and especially rocks, because they will dent the blades! Overall, this is a beautiful mower and I highly recommend it!

I haven't had it for long, but its pretty awesome. The blades are sharp and its easy to use. I like that the grass trimmings shoot out the front although it can go the other way if you prefer. After using this thing, now whenever I hear my neighbors using their gas mowers they seem outdated. People stop and ask questions, my mail carrier actually got out of his truck to give it a try. As long as you keep your lawn relatively low, this thing is a breeze to use. I let my bermuda get a little thick and it gave me a slight workout, but well worth it. Oh and check your local store first. I was going to order it online but decided to check the store. A worker told me that I could only buy it online, not 5 seconds after speaking with her did I see one in the garden center and I promptly took it home. If you're on the fence, go for it. I think this one is better than the Scotts 20".

This mower was very easy to assemble and it is really easy to push. The height of the handle is easy to adjust by pulling hairpin and change into four different positions. The height adjustment of the mower is adjustable by a handle for one inch to four inch. You can adjust the grass clipping away from feet or backward and downward. Very low maintenance. Love the fact the faster you push mower the better it cuts, since I am a fast walker! Cuts grass lower than 6 inches and does a fantastic job. We are going to use this up north on our camping lot.

Quiet, effective and easy to use. Love how small it is for storing. Want to mow the lawn at 10:30pm? You're not going to bother anyone! Definitely not for the person who enjoys letting their grass get super tall before clipping but works great for anyone mowing weekly. :)

I love this mower! It's very easy and smooth to push, cuts the grass easily and cleanly, and is very easy to adjust to different cutting heights. I had tried a different reel mower a while back but that didn't work too well. We then bought a gas mower that does a good job mowing the grass. However, I never enjoyed using it because it is very loud and heavy. We also have a large backyard that is up a flight of steps, and hauling the gas mower up and down was a pain. I eventually decided to give the Fiskar a try for our smallish front lawn, and I'm very happy with it. The gas mower is now relegated to the backyard, and I've been using the Fiskar on our front lawn for several weeks. Now I actually look forward to mowing the lawn, unlike before when I would put it off as long as I could!
