Depends on your soil content! Loose sand/gravel will just fall away! Used on rock impregnated clay, with portions of asphalt skreat with the help of standard post digger,7 foot garden rebar ,sledgehammer and the Fiskers post hole digger! This soil i'm digging in stopped an s70 bobcat cold, had to take matters into my own hands! Fisker post hole digger was great for chop dropping, but really shined when the loose stuff had to be removed!

How do you get the dirt out of the hole?

Step1: Use a spoon, preferably a good silver serving spoon. Step2: Bend the round part of the spoon so it's perpendicular to the handle. Step3: Use the post-hole digger to loosen the soil, making sure you keep the handles together. Step4: Use the spoon to ladle out the soil. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the hole is as deep as you need it.

You can use it down to 48 inches, but it’s ideal to about 42.

Do you price match.? Walmart online offers the same product for about $6 less.

Best post hole diggers I have used. I dug ten 32" holes, straight down, and could still get the dirt out without rounding out the top of the hole. The only thing that could improve, is making them extendible...but who wants to dig more than 32"? They are a great design and sturdy. I like holding on to two handles separately and not trying to hold two wooden ones together.
