Im looking for a fiskars 30" lopper replacement blade model 6158

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Whb
I think people are chipping the blades by applying a left to right twisting force as they cut. I will rotate the lopper around the limb like a pipe cutter, but not any other direction

Bypass Lopper has been recalled due to handle breakage. Contact Fiskars. I have used this lopper for some serious pruning over two weekends. It is without a doubt the most powerful lopper I have used. It will cut 2" branches with very reasonable effort. It requires less effort than my trusty Corona compound lopper of the same size. However, the handles must be almost straight out from each other for large cuts. Make sure that you have adequate space. See picture. I do have reservations about the blade. I thought "titanium" would make it more durable but that does not seem to be the case. The blade is already starting to dull and has some pitting. I think the Corona blade took two years to show this much wear. Not sure if the "titanium" is a Home Depot exclusive but it is a major oversight that they do not stock blades. Overall it is a great product and cuts large branches with minimal effort. I wonder if the non titanium blades hold up a little better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty Looper with increased power The Titanium Looper arrived at my house not packaged well at all. I do not know what happened in the mailing part of the process, but the box was crushed and smashed at one end and the other end was open. However the Looper was in excellent shape. I did cut some branches off the many trees that I have and found the tool to be a bit heavy for an elderly woman to use if the branches are high. For a man it would be great. The blades are really sharp and they work smoothly. The Looper has a clog that works the blades and makes for easy cutting giving you three times the cutting power. The Titanium coating on the blades makes them rust resistance and aids in giving them an ultra-smooth cutting action. I have a large yard with many, many trees so any tool that helps make my work easier is a welcomed addition to my tool shed. The Looper has nice padded handles for easy gripping. They are made to be worked as they are strong and are a great quality.

My prior lopers were black & Dk Green so I lost them in the heavy brush while using them so I refuse to buy another outdoor tool that is Earth tones & leaf tones. The Orange handles really stand out so you can put them down and then find them when you need them!!! THEY WORK WELL TOO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I am a 70+ years old woman who is not particularly strong. I bought this to cut back my way over grown foundation plantings. When the guy who cuts my grass told me he'd charge $40 to cut back the bushes I decided to see if I could find a tool that would do the job. I found this on the Home Depot website and decided it was worth a try. (Thank you Home Depot for putting the exact location in the store right on your website. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes!) AllI can say is WOW!! Not only was I able to cut back my foundation plants, I was also able to, very easily, cut down some low hanging branches from my ornamental cherry tree. Some of the branches were more than 1' in diameter and I was able to easily cut through them. I've had loppers in the past but never one that cut through thick branches as easily as this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LOVE THE LOPPER BUT HATE THE BLADE I love the Lopper but the blade will need to be replaced frequently depending on how often you use it. It can not be sharpened. I made a mistake by sharpened it and now it is useless. There isn't enough material to grind off and still allow the loppers to make a clean cut. I wish Home Depot carry the replacement blades in their stores instead of having to order it from Fiskar’s site and pay heavy shipping. I would like to share my experience with the blades only from 3 different models of PowerGear that I have used. 1st one: 32 in Titanium PowerGear (purchased from Home Depot in 2014) - blade is thicker and last the longest. 2nd one: 32 in Ultra Blade Power Gear (Lowe's version) - the blade had a 3/4 inches chip after 3 days of use 3rd one: 32 in Titanium PowerGear2 (Home Depot’s newer version) - the blade is smaller and thinner, I use it about a week and the blade has developed dents already. I do not think it will last much longer. Home Depot does not carry the original Titanium PowerGear in their stores anymore even though the Website still shows they do. They only carry PowerGear2. I do not like the PowerGear2 and hope they bring the original one back. Fiskar’s warranty department process claims very slow. It will take at least a month before you will get a replacement.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great loppers...horrible blades The lopper overall design is very comfortable and makes easy work of cutting through branches. The problem is that this particular blade, the titanium coated ones, seem to be extremely weak. My company got three pairs of these loppers, and very quickly all of their blades had chipped out, one pair in its first day of use. Something in the forging was not good. And Home Depot doesn't carry replacement blades, and Fiskars themselves are out of stock for replacement blades (and don't even show the particular titanium model on their site; looks like these blades have been abandoned).
