Can this be used as a fresh water pump in my fifth wheel

Asked by: Kelly
This pump should work with your 5th Wheel. For me it was an exact replacement so all the mounting holes and water fittings lined up. The pump comes with snap fittings to mount on the water lines.

How is this pump actuated?

How is this pump actuated?
Asked by: Catherine
The pump turns on when two conditions exist: (1) it has a 12-volt DC power supply, and (2) there is low pressure on the discharge side of the pump. Low pressure on the discharge side basically means that the valve on the downstream end of the system is open and water is flowing out. When the valve is closed, pressure builds in the discharge line of the pump and the pressure switch internal to the pump shuts it off.
