If this Floortex chair mat contains no toxins, as they state, why does it come with a California Prop 65 warning? Thank you.

Polycarbonate is an extremely durable material and should not crack under the recommended conditions. Breakage may occur if the mat is used on an unsuitable carpet type, if stationary furniture is placed on the mat, if the recommended weight capacity is exceeded, or if the mat has been cut/altered.

The grippers on the mat are there to help prevent movement, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the mat will stay in place on all types of carpet. However, there are a couple of tips we could offer to help prevent the mat from moving such as: - Ensure the chair mat is placed on carpeted floors rather than a loose weave rug as all gripper back mats may find it difficult to grip to rug piles. - If possible, reposition your chair mat so that the grippers are entering the carpet pile in a slightly different horizontal/vertical orientation. Making slight alterations on the mat position and alignment with the carpet pile may allow them to grip the carpet better for added stability.
