Q:i am looking for a 18 unit box with 2 parcel green

Answer This Question

A:  The largest cluster box unit that is approved for USPS use is a 16 door unit. The most cost effective way to get your 18 tenant compartments would likely be to get a 1570-12 and a 1570-8. This would give 20 tenant compartments and 3 parcel compartments. USPS does require 1 parcel per every 5 tenant compartments so this would help get you closer to compliance that way as well.

    A:  The postal carrier accesses the Cluster Box Unit from the front. Read load NCBUs are no longer allowed by the USPS for replacement.

      A:  All cluster box units have been designed, built and tested to meet the USPS specification which includes structural integrity tests. While these tests do include pull testing on all sides of the unit to ensure it returns to its upright position on the pedestal, it does not include any specific wind load testing. It would be possible to extrapolate the data from the load testing, but we do not have verifiable wind tunnel testing to confirm at 90 mph.

          Manufacturer refuses to provide support
          I bought the unit and it is as expected. Unfortunately, some criminal cut off one of our parcel boxes. The manufacturer refuses to provide any repair guides or support and instead directs you to their dealer network. I did not buy it from the dealer network, I bought it from Home Depot. Very frustrating. Just send me the repair guide. Also, repair parts are quite expensive... a replacement door is $121.

            Beautiful well made .love it . Worth the money tenants...
            Beautiful well made .love it . Worth the money tenants are very happy and surprised,that I would spend this much ,they love the fact that packages that fit the package slot will be delivered in the box, also that mail can be picked up,no more trips to the post office to mail letters.
