Long lasting and durable.
All of the greenhouses have them to pump water through the cooling pads. These pumps run 24/7 all year round. In the 11 years of the greenhouses being up and running we have only had to replace 2 out of the 6 pumps. This is why, when they finally die out, we purchase the same ones! They are very industrious for the amount of time these run.

Maybe I recieved a bad pump.
Bought this to pump off a pool cover. Maybe I have a bad one, I am returning it. The pump Creates a small oil slick when submersed, pump gets hot and shuts off every 10 or so minutes, even while completely submersed in 40 degree water. Water has poor flow, maybe shoots an inch or two out the hose where my prior pump shot 2 feet. Might be because there is no screen on the bottom and might be sucking the pool cover tight to the pump access hole, not sure. The old pump was a 5 year old Shur-dri that the impellor just dcided to break where it threads onto the motor. I decided to try a new brand when i found shur-dri has no customer service or ability to buy parts. I would steer clear of this pump.

Nice little pump
This was a replacement pump for the same one I purchased 4 years ago...which is still working but is on it's last leg. The pump is installed in a small pond/water feature that rises about 4 feet, and runs continuously during the daytime from May to October. My pond does not have a constant water supply to fill it, so on several occasions the water level has gone below the safety level for the pump without my noticing. Not good for the pump! But after it cools down, and I put more water in the pond, it starts right up again.

Not a great purchase
This pump overheats very quickly compared to other submersible pumps I frequently use.

Basically another piece of junk. Bought it to drain a spa.
Basically another piece of junk. Bought it to drain a spa that was almost empty. It pumped about 1 gallon and then it started leaking from several areas on the housing. Pumped about 1 gallon total. Won't pump anything at all. Lasted about 1 minute total. Just another example of shoddy workmanship that Americans get sold. It looked like pretty cheap and flimsy construction. They should sell this for about 10 bucks. But then again it's totally worthless.

        Good Little Pump
Was using this until I decided to get an automatic pump. Worked fine right out of the box and kept our basement from getting flooded, so it did it's job. It's a little small if the water is rising quickly, but then it's not intended to be a primary pump at 1/6 hp. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something as a portable emergency pump. However, do NOT buy the Floatec Intellipump as it's junk and not worth the money.

Does a great job for what I bought it for.....to drain the water from our pool cover. It would have been Totally Perfect if it could shut itself off when the water level gets too low.

Works well but company does not stock parts
I bought the pump about 6 years ago and it worked well for 4 years but then the gasket disentegrated. I called the Flotec parts line to order a replacement but they do not stock the item even though it is listed in the owner's manual. Next time I will go with a manufacturer that has better support for their products

            utility pump
this is not the first pump that i have purchased from home depot. the delivery was within a few days of ordering. the box looked like it was opened and resealed. should have been over boxed.. it works and i am happy about that. the others have been used to drain my pool cover.
