Rated 2 out of 5 by from Item not exactly as pictured/described Very well built/structured, but there is a 5 inch hole in the side (which is not in the product description). My application did not need the hole (I will need to seal if I don't return it). No problem for me but the molded vertical lip supports on the side are much larger than depicted. I'm not sure what basin this is a picture of, but it's not what you are buying (see my pic of what you get)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outdoor sump pump installation I installed an outdoor sump pump and needed a basin with no inlet holes and a cover that would be strong and would not allow debris to enter the sump basin. This basin is very sturdy and, having no inlet holes, it allowed me to cut out a hole just where I needed it. I bought the cover and was disappointed that the enclosed screws were not long enough to reach the basin's threaded mounts and had to be replaced with longer ones. In addition, the oblong opening allowed debris to enter the basin, and it was not strong enough to place much weight on. I solved all of my problems by buying a second cover and four 1½ inch screws, and then placed both covers on the basin with the openings 180º opposed to one another. This resulted in a strong cover with a small 2½"x2½" square opening in the center for the discharge pipe. I ran the pump's electric cord between the two lids so it would not get wet until it had completely exited the basin. I am now very satisfied with my sump pump installation and would recommend this basin and cover to anyone with similar concerns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy built, the only kind I would use Purchased mine in April 2013. It has no wholes in it at all which allowed me to put them in where I want and the size I need. This is extremely sturdy and well made. for the money it is very good. Has bolt holes on top to fasten down lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from its a freakin tub for cryin out loud Its great for what it is, a plastic tub to catch water. Its pretty heavy duty and was under $25. It installed as easy as anything you have to dig thru the basement floor to install, which is to say its a lot of work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sump Pump Basin Basin is very good quality, my only complaint is that in the picture it showed the lid included. So I assumed it was included. I never read the details, I was only interested in the basin size, which was in the main description. So Home Depot should change the picture, all other sites only show the basin alone. My bad for not opening and reading the details before ordering. so now I have to order a lid.
