3/4 HP. CI Professional Sump

An old model that the discharge pipe connected to the top of the pump is a much better than the new one. Both are 3/4 HP but the old one is much powerful.

We love flotec? Reliable pump. Easy to install. You will not be disappointed with this pump, or company.

Sump pump went out today only 2 years old. Do not buy this sump pump.

The float switch failed after 4 days (would not shut off). This appears to be a common problem based on other online reviews. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I have purchased this brand before with good luck, but this model is not up to their previous standards of quality.

This unit replaced a flaky, older upright flotec model that had 1/3 HP. It was very easy to install once I purchased the plastic check valve. The check valve was cheap and, for me, was a necessary purchase. We just had a big snowstorm followed by a thaw and this unit performed flawlessly.

I've only had it for a day, but this pump is waaay too loud, especially considering the price we paid for it. I purchased it because the store had a limited selection and this seemed the best of them. It sits in the crawl under our bedroom and kept waking us up. We can easily hear it come on a couple rooms over. We barely ever heard our older, cheaper pump.

I bought this to replace a very old sump pump. I was looking for a 3/4 HP, except I preferred the an actual floating switch with the cord (just because that was what I was familiar with and was replacing). However, to get the 3/4, I needed to go with this type of float. I also wanted cast iron. No problems with installation on the pump side, but I ended up putting in new piping from the valve to the pump due to the fact that it didn't quite sit as nicely with the old configuration. Works great and has lots of power. My only complaint was the noise when ejecting. The pump sits 2 floors below my master bedroom and I can hear it. I installed a check valve with the silencer which helps a little. But at least I know its working!

Had the pump less than a year and the float switch is gone. Went back to store to buy replacement switch they don't carry it. Happened on a Friday what do you to keep water out of your basement when you can"t fix it?

Spent the extra money to buy this "professional" pump. What a waste! Have had it for 2 years and ran at the most 6 times before it seized and failed to pump. By the way, if you decide to repair it, Flotec does not sell the dielectric oil you may need to refill. This replaced a 20 year old cheap sealed pump.
