Can I trim this tube to 3 inches or so?
Asked by Lisa October 27, 2018
Yes, you can trim the refill tube as necessary to prevent kinking.
This is the perfect anti-siphon item for the newer, low water use toilets. It simply clips on the plastic refill tube. You need to make sure afterward that the water goes straight down the tube. If you use the old method of pushing the rubber tube down the central stack, the end of the tube is lower than the tank water level and it siphons, meaning that your toilet flushes itself after awhile, without anyone around. I prefer this style of clip over the old "L" style, and maybe the "L" style is what the other reviewer needed instead. There is plenty of room for this clip in my toilets.
