Very lightweight material, it almost feels like hard foam. It's sort of flexible, unlike wood moulding. Easy enough to paint. I used a brush, but it might be easier with spray paint. Definitely needed two coats with regular paint (Behr Ultra). I'm using this moulding as baseboard. Problem is cutting it to size and at a 45° angle for the corners. Found out our own electric miter saw can't handle 7½ inch tall boards. Most manual miter saw boxes don't either. Fortunately, Home Depot rents out electric miter saws that should be able to. I hope after cutting this moulding to size, nailing to the wall won't be a problem. Can also be glued, but removing later will be more problematic.
