Starts with one easy pull, every time. Plenty of power to run a 1HP sprinkler pump. I do wish it had wheels as its over 100lbs with an empty tank. It even came with a funnel and oil. The wheels its sitting on in the photo came off of some organizer cart. They suck and i dont expect them to last long. Good thing my bulging muscles are mighty enough to carry this thing from the van to the ground and back to the van again.

I purchased a smaller generator to run my 1HP sprinkler pump and it couldn't run it. I bought this one and the difference is night and day. After adding the oil (included) using the special-shaped funnel (also included, but if it gets lost or broken, how much to replace?) it started on the first pull. It was a very easy pull at that. I don't usually review products, there is normally nothing to say about it. It works or not. But, I have been looking for a new generator for several months. My last generator lasted 25 years, it also came from Home Depot. I checked the reviews for dozens of generators at lots of websites and most reviews complained about long waits for service calls. Lots of poor workmanship and overall bad feelings about the generator. Home Depot listed this Ford generator and I had a email coupon. Ford has a good reputation so I hoped if they put their name on something it would be good. I have only had it about 2 weeks and 10 engine hours but, It seems to be as advertised. Now the reason for the review. I unpacked the generator and found the instructions, the wheels and was surprised to find a bottle of oil with a funnel and a tool kit. Nice. I connected the positive battery cable, but I could not find the negative cable. Oh no, I started to think this would be just like so many of the other reviews I read. I found the 800 number and called. 3 or 4 rings and a real live person answered, he spoke English without an accent. Needless to say, I was surprised. He knew exactly what I was talking about and told me where to find the cable. He also suggested that I use the pull start the first time to help charge the battery. I wanted the electric start, because big motors are usually hard to pull start, like my pressure washer. This generator started on the 3rd pull, very easy to pull by the way, right out of the box. Nice generator, not too loud and does not vibrate and shake all over the place. It ran the compressor, nail guns, drills and saws with no problems. Seems to be pretty good on gas too.

Easy set up, and it cranked right up. I haven’t put a full load on it yet but now that my house wiring is done I plan to soonest.

The generator worked just fine considering for the little that I have used it. I haven’t gotten down to business with it but I am confident. I will tell you this, my wife complimented its good looks.

when i picked up the generator at home depot the box was in perfect condition. The sales person had an associate help me put it in my vehicle. got home and assembled the unit by the instructions. It started up on the second pull it ran 1/2 hr. wile I checked the output voltage. everything is to spec. I then connected it to my house circuit ,and it powered everything in the house including 2 small ac units and the voltage at any socket I tested was 120 volts. I then ran it for 5 hrs. Connected to the house .Everything worked perfectly. I then disconnected it from the house and changed the oil as stated in the manual. I have run this unit several times for outdoor yard work and it starts every time. Very happy with purchase.

Easy to Assemble, started right away, nice machine for the money!!
