Can this be used for doing stained glass

Asked by George May 27, 2018
1
Answer

This 50/50 Solder should work fine for stained glass. A 40/60 has better flow but 50/50 will work. Thank you for your question.

Can you make joint with two dissimilar metals like copper to steel

Asked by Renfromml December 29, 2015
1
Answer

NO, you cannot have steel in contact with copper as it causes reactive corrosive condition. Even with solder there is no assurance that there is not a contact between these two. Use a dielectric union to join these. Or solder / thread brass fitting / nipple between them.
