The Forney 311 MIG Welder, 230-Volt CV/DC, 1-phase with 210 Amp maximum outputs is a versatile machine for farms, automotive, boats, general fabrication and repair welding. This machine is MIG ready with regulator and gas hose. This is a transformer based multi step welder with 6 taps. The welding processes are MIG (GMAW) and Flux Cored (FCAW). The Forney 210 MIG is a new machine for Forney and offers quality features like spool gun capability, quick connect torch, longer gun/torch with common consumables, extra-long power cord, HD cast aluminum feed/drive system with geared idler and drive roll, cable wrap and versatile despoiler with larger cabinet for easy spool access. Standard U.S. gas hose set up. 10 ft. (3.04 m) MIG gun/torch. 15 ft. (4.5 m) power cord. Maximum Amp output is 210 Amp. Weld thickness is up to 3/8 in. (9.53 mm). Acceptable spool sizes are 4 in. and 8 in. Acceptable wire diameters are up to 0.035 in. The weight is 78 lbs. The 5/3/1 or Advanced Replacement warranty is as follows with 5 years parts and labor or full replacement of transformer. 3 years parts and labor or full replacement of all components and parts inside the battery charger or welder that cover within the exception of the transformer. 1 year parts and labor (90 days for industrial use) for all components and parts outside the battery charger or welder cover, included but not limited to cables, clamps.

Acceptable wire diameters are 0.023, 0.030 and 0.035 in.
Acceptable spool sizes are 4 in. and 8 in.

It's HEAVY but it does it all
Only giving it a 4 star because it doesn't have a Euro torch connection like the mig 190 and it's very heavy. I wish i could put 33 lbs spools in it as well.
Over all its a great welder though. I can weld literally anything with this except manganese and cast iron. I can even weld in the horizontal flat position in GLOBAL and spray transfer with the right gas shielding types. Over all Very nice machine
The spool gun is kinda cheaply made but I've had great results welding aluminum with it.
I would recommend this to anyone that isn't going to be transporting it a lot.
