The last helmet I'll need
Not only does this helmet have a nice large viewing area, rechargeable batteries, 4 (four) arc sensors, and fully adjustable headband, but it comes in a selection of cool styles. I chose the camp style. The helmet is light weight, which is greatly appreciated when welding for extended periods or in difficult to reach areas. The "brains" of the helmet are held in place with a couple of allen screws, which need to be removed to replace the batteries. A replaceable protective front cover comes as standard, and a spare front cover is included. There is space for an inner protective cover, but none is provided. The shade can be controlled between 5 and 13 (and includes a grinding mode - none dimming). The delay is also fully adjustable. There is a sensitivity setting to prevent eye injury when welding high amp pieces that may have pools of molten metal still glowing after running a bead.

A Great Looking Helmet Loaded with Features
This is one great looking helmet. And not only that, it does and has everything you could want on a helmet. The viewing window is huge. No small window to peek through here. It's auto-darkening and it does it fast. It has a five point adjustable headband, that allows you to get that perfect fit for all day comfort. The lenses are top quality, giving you a clear, distortion free view. It's lightweight, but made to hold up on those tough jobs. Other colors are available, if you don't like the camo, but it really looks great. lots of compliments. Lots of people want to use it.

Nice Features
Nice, quality built auto-darkening welding helmet. Allows adjustment of darkening settings. The auto on is very fast. No issues with my eyes feeling tired or burnt even after a full day of welding. Being ad adjustable darkening strength, this really comes in handy with variable outdoor lighting conditions such as sunny day vs. dark night, or indoors. It is also helpful with varying brightness levels of your welding arc; Mig, Tig or stick - even grinding! The large viewing window doesn't leave me feeling like I need more view space to see what's going on. Light & comfortable on the head too!

Comfortable, Cool, clear view
This is the best Welding helmet I've ever worn! Lighter than others and VERY Comfortable. Very easy to adjust. Straps stay in place without feeling tight. The hinges work smoothly and quietly; didn't need a break-in period to "loosen-up." You can "flip the lid" hands-free on the first day! The graphics are cool too.. very clean and professional looking, like high-end skiing gear. This has a soft-matte finish, which I think is better. Shiny gloss finishes look good when new, but quickly lose their luster and look worn. Matte finishes tend to absorb the spatter, scrapes & scars less obviously. W-I-D-E faceplate lens gives a clear view of the work. That's especially nice when welding overhead or at awkward angles. A large viewing aperture make a HUGE difference in reducing neck strain. Auto-darkening is fast, seemingly instantaneous... as fast or faster than all others I've tried. Of course I wear goggles beneath the helmet to prevent getting "flashed" by other welders in the shop when the helmet is up. This is large enough to wear goggles comfortably without pressure on my ears and temples like other helmets. It doesn't snag & drag goggles off my face like some other helmets have. Battery compartment is easy to open and close. That's a bonus! When the battery needs replacement, you have to take off your gloves anyway, and that takes time. That last thing you want is a stubborn battery box that eats even more time just so you can get back to work. This allows battery installation in seconds. My welding instructor tried mine, then immediately went out and got one! That's how much he liked it... and he gets stuff for free from manufacturers! Our school has numerous helmets in many styles. I've tried them all. THIS is my favorite by a large margin. Get one. You'll see what I mean!

Quality Product
The Forney Master Series Camo Auto-darkening Welding Helmet is quality product. I am old school and have never used the auto darkening helmet before procuring this helmet. One reason was that I would be flashed by the arc, but the advertised switching time is 1/30,000 of a second. The helmet comes with 4 adjustments and a test switch for the auto darkening. You can set the delay, sensitivity and the shade that works best for you. This is now my go to helmet for TIG and MIG welding.
