I have 3 questions: What is the best way to apply this on pavers...spray or roller? How long does it take to dry? How long do I need to keep my cats

inside?
Asked by: Flash
The best way to apply is usually a personal preference but could also depend upon the actual surface. If you have polymeric (bonded) sand, rolling works well because the sand won't stick to the roller (rollers are also cheap). If the sand is loose, you might find it easier to apply with a Chapin Extreme pump sprayer fitted with an adjustable cone nozzle (1 gallon per minute flow rate). It's possible to roll a paver surface with loose sand if the sand is not too high in the joints and if you use a low nap roller (3/8 inch). Don't try to flood the joints with the AR350, it's a topical product, not a bonding agent for sand. Foundation Armor recommends 24 hours before normal foot traffic but that cats should be ok around six hours if the surface is not tacky.

When applied how long does this Selah last that it looks wet how many years

When applied how long does this Sealer last that it looks wet how many years
Asked by: JoeBarretta
The AR350 usually lasts 2 to 4 years depending upon the environment. If the sealer fades over time, you can often roll a surface with xylene solvent for about 20 to 30 seconds without any downward pressure and it will re-emulsify the faded sealer to clear it up. If xylene doesn't help it's time to apply a new coat.

When applying with a roller, do you need a special type of tray? I wanted to test a small area so I poured some of this into a plastic cup and it basically melted the cup. Will a regular paint tray work or do I need a polypropelene tray?
Asked by: Jay
A PVC or metal tray will work well. Watch out for the cheap plastic tray liners, they will melt like a solo cup when exposed to a petroleum sealer such as the AR350.
