Maxted 18 in. Glass Shelf with Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel

Exactly what we needed in a small space with no counter. Template made it easy to install. Very high-quality feel.

Simple installation instructions. I used drywall toggle anchors and the mounting hardware had enough tolerance to allow for leveling adjustments. I would recommend this product.

Looks great with a few Knick Knacks on it.

A very nice and well-made shelf for the money at Home Depot. It will go very nicely in the bathroom, laundry room and even over a shop slop sink as it has a towel rack. This is where I will be mounting this. The mounting brackets are heavy duty as well as the glass shop at South. The quality of the brushed chrome coding is very good. Mounting this will be a snap. COMES FULLY ASSEMBLED!!! Just need to mount onto the wall. Beautiful! My wife loves the glass shelve. It really ads class to the bathroom. I like the elegant look of the glass, you can see all the beauty of the curves and attachment screws on the glass. Reminds me of the high end walking glass foot bridges. The towel is a good weight (not too heavy). Just be careful were you install the towel holder. You do not want to inadvertently grab the bar, it is not made to support anyone and the whole shelve will rip apart from the wall. The installation is very simple. It comes with a template to mark your drill holes. So no guess work needed. Just determine the length of you shelve (template is provided for both sizes, 18” shelve and the 24” shelve) Tape the template onto the desired location of the wall and ensure it is level (best if at least one side mounted to a wall stud). And then using either 1/16” drill bit for solid wood or 3/16” drill bit and wall anchors for ceramic/Sheetrock and drill through the marked locations on the template. Product comes with all the hardware needed (screws, wall anchors, mounting bracket, Allen wrench for mounting screw. You will need the basic tools such as drill and drill bits, Philips screw driver, leveler, etc. It really quite simple to install for any handy-person.

I am loving my new Franklin Brass Maxted 18 in. W Glass Shelf with Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel. The size is perfect and it is a very functional accessory in my bathroom. The towel bar is 18 in. wide and comfortably fits two hand towels side by side. The brushed nickel and glass components have a clean and modern look. Installation was pretty easy taking about twenty minutes.The directions are perfect and all of the parts are included. All I had to do was install two brackets using the template provided (for the distance of the two brackets.) I also used a level to make sure the shelf looked perfect.

A great price point for a very solid and functional shelf with towel bar. The bar is one piece so it is very solid. We have a few others where the bar is attached by two arms coming off the glas shelf and they sway a bit from side to side. And they were more expensive. The glass is nice and thick. We recently remodeled a small bath and installed this for guests to have their own face towel and storage area for toiletries. Will hold seashells or other nickacks in between. 18 inch bar is wide enough for two face towels folded or even a bath towel folded. finish looks like it will last. Wont rub off over time with the towel rubbing if in constant use. Had a hard time getting it level using the enclosed template because the instructions were folded. I suggest just putting the first bracket on the wall and measuring 18 inches over and level. from there it is a piece of cake. the shelf mounted onto the wall bracket very easily. took a little time to get the small allen wrench in the locking nut but looks good once it is tightened down.

Has modern styling with the glass looking shelf. The hanging bar is a nice-looking nickel. It does add some utility. The towel bar is 18" long, so it's really good for face towels. The shelf is good for toiletries and the like, gets things off the floor. Don’t know why, but the installation was far more challenging than it needed to be. The mounting bracket is somehow not designed or machined right. Did a lot of trial and error and sifting the tool bench for parts to help fix this. To fix it, I had to add a steel washer to the bottom screw to rotate the bottom part of the bracket out. This is so the mounting screw can engage the bracket. After that, I got it up and level and it’s now solid for some weight. Not to be a complainer, but the little set screw to secure the rod and shelf to wall is located tight to the wall, spend a lot of time turning the set screw to get the shelf secured. I like the looks, but the installation was terribly laborious.

This shelf is very nice. We had a little bit of a difficult time trying to find a spot to put this shelf. It is very useful having the towel bar and the shelf as well. It was a little tricky installing it. It the installation parts are at all crooked you won't be able to put the shelf on so you have to be careful and make sure they are straight. Other than this the shelf is great and looks great in our bathroom once we found a spot for it.

Nice shelf. The glass is tempered and 1/8" thick which will stand up to wear and tear. The distance between he shelf and the rod is large enough that sliding a hand towel through is no issue. the finish of the metal is appealing and looks great. The shelf I have has an 18" spread between mounting brackets. I used metal toggle bolt anchors instead of the plastic anchors sent. I have used both and the metal anchors hold better and resist pulling out of the wall better. The only other option is if your lucky enough to hit 2 studs. My shelf is 18" and standard spacing for studs is 16" I was lucky enough to hit 1 stud but had to wall anchor the other side. It looks great.
