how do you install it directly to the studs if it's in the shower?

Safety first!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this attractive and useful Franklin Brass Voisin 24" Grab Bar a few weeks ago. This is a great addition to any bathroom or area that extra safety is needed. My husband placed this near the bathroom sink which is also across from the commode. This can be used as a towel rack and is close enough for use from the commode.

Franklin Brass Voisin 24-Inch-Wide Grab Bar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an attractive Grab Bar that fit well in my second bathroom that supports my guest bedroom. It fit very well adjacent to the bathtub and did not look like a commercial grade fixture. It has an easy grab with a plain and simple end caps and mounting hardware. Mounting screws and a detailed instruction guide is provided. The width of the bar can handle an extra-large bath towel and/or multiple hand towel.
Installation is very easy as all parts and a guide are provided. It took me less than 15 minutes to drill and install the bar. I made sure to ensure the gab bar was securely anchored to the existing studs to ensure it can provide strength and functionality when grabbing the bar. The grab bar was very secure. It serves as a multi versality bar to accommodate a person’s need for a grab bag or hanging towel(s). Since I have walnut color cabinets, the silver grab bar blended very well.
I give this Grab Bar a 5-STAR Rating for its quality materials, strength and attractiveness.

Great Grab Bar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Franklin Brass Voisin 24 inch wide grab bar is very fast and easy to install. I installed the grab bar right above my tub and it looks great. The finish is a chrome-like polished stainless steel. The grab bar has a very modern look to it, which is perfect for my bathroom.

Franklin Brass makes very nice grab bars. I recently got 2 of them for our bathroom tub/shower. I chose them because they match the decor of our bathroom with their matte nickel finish and have an attractive design. I got one for the front tub wall and one for the back wall. This 42 inch one I put on the back wall was not over/near a stud and could not be anchored using the screws that come with the bar. I used the "toggle bolt" system that is recommended to anchor the bar. I'd never used this type of plastic and metal ratcheting toggle bolt system and found it easy to use and it provided a great anchor for the bars. Make sure to finish around the holes with a high quality caulk. Some grab bars have a textured surface. I do not like a textured surface and these bars are a smooth stainless steel. I find the textured ones hold soap scum and may be a breeding ground for germs, mildew, mold, etc. The smooth bars are easier for me to keep clean. I chose them because they match the decor of our bathroom with their matte nickel finish and have an attractive design. I got one for the front tub wall and one for the back wall. The one I put on the front wall by the faucet/shower head was installed by using the accompanying stainless steel screws into a stud. I like the screws that came with the grab bar. They are quality hardware items like the grab bars themselves. Some grab bars have a textured surface. I do not like a textured surface and these bars are a smooth stainless steel. I find the textured ones hold soap scum and may be a breeding ground for germs, mildew, mold, etc. The smooth bars are easier for me to keep clean. I wish it wasn't as thick/long as it is, it takes alot of room, a d because I had tile, it was a little more difficult to install, and seal from water leakages, but I like, and it makes my mom feel safe if she decides to shower alone without assistance..

We chose the Franklin Brass Voisin 42 in x 1-1/4" decorative bathroom shower grab bar for our bathroom. We have a large jetted tub that is necessary for us to use to help in recovery of knee surgery. This product is awesome. We attached to the wall, installation was very easy and only took about 20 minutes total. It is very well made and the instructions were very clear. It is stainless steel, silver and looks great in our bathroom.
