This is a great unit, I have has the temp go as low as 65. I use in a very humid environment and it works great. Need to empty frequently in high humidity.

Hi JJ! Thank you for your inquiry. We would not recommend connecting the exhaust hose to your dryer for liability reason. We recommend following the installation instructions is the Installation Guide. We hope this helps! -Thanks!-
Unless you use as dehumidifier it seldom needs drained. I roll mine to door and drain through a hose
Yes, the louvers can be manually set but ever better is the swing mode where the louvers move automatically to move air around the room.
I’m assuming that you have a screen door outside of the slider. So to vent through the screen, no. To vent through the glass, no. I have mine vented through a roll out window with a screen on the outside. What I did was take the screen to a window shop and had them make an insert with a hole for the vent tube. It’s similar to plexiglass but not plexiglass. I forget what they used but if you do a google search you’ll find the material to use or the glass company will know. Hope this helps
The manual states: Watts (Cool): 1,430 Amps (Cool): 12 I would be more concerned about the Amps, in particular the starting amps are usually higher than the running amps. I run mine on a 15 amp circuit and have never had problem.
Mine is sitting close to the window now which is also a slide opener. I actually left the screen in place and the adapter works well to hold it there
The hose extended is 59" maximum length.
