Control panel is on top of the door, it protrudes slightly away from the part of the door that seals when closed. Control panel is easily accessible on top of the door and can be easily stopped in case of an emergency.

I was looking for an affordable dishwasher to replace a 20 years old machine. This machine does an excellent job of cleaning and disinfecting my dishes. I did not need lots of bells and whistles. It has plenty of options to choose from. It is attractive. I have one complaint. I have cut myself 5 times since installing this unit on the top lip of the control panel. It is a plastic material but the lip is quite sharp and that should not be. I purposefully try to be careful but occasionally when I place my hand inside the handle without thinking to open or close the unit and pull my hand out I inevitably end up with a skin tear/scrape and need a bandaid for days. In the photo, I have my finger pointing to the area that is "sharp" all along the bottom where it should be smooth. Sorry but that should be looked at in the design.

Bought this in june of 2020, now january 21, i have to open the bottom and tap the motor after pushing the start button, the motor has started leaking grease on the floor, do not recommend, 150$ part on top of the 400$ i paid for it, better off buying from a scratch and dent repair shop

This is an amazing and affordable dishwasher. It’s super simple to use and packs a might punch. Do your self a favor and purchase this. I opted for the black stainless steel.
