Q:We bought this stovetop and it didn't come with any sort of edge material to place around it so that spills don't end up going down into the cabinet below. What are people doing about this? I see that edging can be purchased separately online.

Center Burner power insufficient

We replaced our Electrolux 30" induction cook top that lasted 12 years with this unit.
Like this unit all under glass touch controls. Easy clean up. Controls work well and very intuitive. You wont need to read a manual to figure them out.
This unit is a little smaller than the original radient 30" cutout, just barley covers the hole. I will need to find a trim kit to better secure it.
Now for the bad. The center large burner lacks sufficient power. Our old Electrolux would bring a gal. of tap cold water to a boil in 6 -7minutes, takes 17 min on this center burner with pwr boil on. The smaller burner on the left side will bring the same to a rolling boil in just over 11 minutes.
Before installing I removed the glass top to inspect the induction burners, as usual they had shifted during shipping so they were no longer directly under their location shown on the glass top. I inspected there wiring and connections and placed the burners back in their correct positions. I did notice the 3 smaller burners have an alloy strip attached to the center of the burner, the larger ctr burner had none, nor was there one to be found loose under the glass. One of the pictures shows this.
I will contact Frigidaire customer service to see if their is a fix. If not this unit will be returned as the reason for induction over radiant is its fast heating that also results in less power used.

Installation with ease

Works like a dream!

I prefer the induction stovetop to a gas stovetop. I am a convert and highly recommend this stove top to family and friends. You won’t be disappointed in this purchase. In fact, you will wish you had done it sooner. It is easy to clean and I like the straight edge. Food does not get caught in any cracks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kitchen got damaged in a fire, and I replaced my old gas cooktop with this new induction cooktop. I couldn’t be happier. It’s so much better than my old gas cooktop for a number of reasons. One reason is that it is much more stable being flat. Another virtue is that it cooks things more safely because the top doesn’t get hot. An additional benefit is that it boils water very quickly because it has a special setting to do that.

Quick, precise control, easy clean,”the best”

It also has auto sizing , and looks as great as it functions. We bought it as the virus lockdown began and my wife and I have cooked every meal on it since. It makes cooking a breeze & a joy.
