[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying several name brand portable a/c units, with no luck, I scrolled across this model from Frigidaire. I knew the name, expected quality and I got it. Cools and dehumidifies, very little condensation, most is evaporated and I’m using it on a boat, in the very hot and humid Florida! My only hang up is that there is no heat function. Then it would be perfect, but still very much a 5 star product.

Frigidaire Model FHPC082AC11 Review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Frigidaire 8000 BTU portable air conditioner has been working great. My room is about 250 square feet and this unit cools the room nicely in about 30 minutes. One thing I noticed while running the unit while sleeping is that it kicks on randomly and will just blow warm air then it kicks back off. The noise from this "function" would wake me up and took some getting used to. The remote is not very intuitive and took me a while to learn the features. Since I work the night shift, having a cooler room has allowed me to benefit from improved sleep quality. Overall the unit has worked very well. I would recommend it.

I love my portable air conditioner

It keeps the room very cold and couldn’t ask for a better system. It’s easy to install … I would definitely recommend.

Could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not too good - uninsulated discharge hose is a very poor design. Putting more heat into a room that you’re trying to cool. Plus discharge window plate needs option to have exit Hoke in left or right side. Currently only installs to left side taking up more space in the room. The hose connector to the plate falls out from the pull of the hose, I had to put a piece of wood under it to take off the strain.

Second summer and not cooling like the first.
Problem with this unit has been posted previously, the angles of it is all awkward. The fan is to one side and blows to the opposite side, so it has to be turned as it only cools one side, not spread over whole room. The cooling coils have a plastic grid over it and the instructions do not show how to clean it. After one summer of use, I saw this summer it had a blanket of lint and dust completely over it and had to pick it out with tweezers. The two other filters are very easy to clean, but what about the coil area below the hose?
Not delivering the cooling as it did last summer, low is too low and the high is not high enough since the air is blown off the opposite side. It should have some vertical vents in it instead of just horizontal.

Super AC Unit
Great unit. Pretty easy set up. Glad the window venting puece is expandable as I have sliding vertical windows and not traditional horizontal windows.
Bought on sale on Home Depot website and also received additional $50 discount for applying for the HD credit card. $299 total. $50/month interest free installments for 6 months to fit my budget👍
