This video will walk you through the simple steps you must take in order to ensure a successful delivery and installation of your new Dishwasher from The Home Depot.
Please ensure the following prior to delivery:
- New dishwasher connection kit
- Water supply line (shutoff) within 6 ft. of hook up
- Electrical outlet within 6 ft. of hook up
- The rough cabinet opening must be at least: 24" W X 24" D X 34–1/2" H
- Measure your rough cabinet opening
- Verify your existing electrical and water connections
- Empty and unplug your old dishwasher

What is the decibel level?

AnswersTypically you'll need the installation kit for the particular model you buy. It includes many adapters and fittings which are particular for that model. They do install upon delivery as long as there are no issues with with your current plumbing or electrical wiring which require a licensed plumber or electrician to address. Keep in mind, many delivery and installation crews are subcontractors, some are better than others. This is true anywhere you shop.

Melted Wiring and Latch Assembly

This unit stopped working a month after the 1 year warranty expired. It wouldn’t fill with water. After going through a list of things to check, I discovered the latch assembly and connected wires were completely fried. We’ve had no major storms and nothing else in the house has stopped working like this. Complete junk. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Absolute junk. Prior owners installed as part of "upgrade" prior to putting their house on market. Broke twice in the first 2 years of ownership. See picture of part that the glue pulled apart with normal use. I later searched that it's less than $300 so can't expect much but really such junk that will probably replace in the next year. 1st service visit was where control panel didn't work anymore and repairmen found that a connector had loosed in the course of normal operation.
On top of it all, it barely washes the dishes...

The blade in the bottom keeps spinning off and melts to the bottom and ruins it. We have had to replace it 4 times!!! It also does not wash very well at all; I prewash my dishes and I still have stuff left on it or a film on them. I have had nothing but problems with this dishwasher since we got it!!

Hello, Jenjen333! Thank you for your feedback! We sincerely apologize for your experience with your 24'' Built-In Dishwasher. For optimum performance, using a rinse aid has proven to be helpful. Also try using the High option on the model. During the high option, the dishwasher heats water in the main wash to approximately 140F (60C) and increases the temperature higher in the final rinse. This helps the dishwasher detergent remove food grease and soil from dishes more effectively and aids in drying performance by adding additional rinse aid and increasing the water temperature. Also, ensuring that there are not any kinks in the drain hose. A kink in the drain line can cause drain issues or water to pool in the bottom of the dishwasher after a cycle is complete.
