So we are getting ready to have appliances delivered to our new build, cabinets are installed...I was so excited when I found these affordable, side opening doors...we bought two! Sooooooooo...how do I have them installed into my already done cabinets, one on top of the other? It says do not stack!!! Please tell me there is a way around this. Does this mean do not stack 'directly' on top of each other because we have a thick shelf set up to go between the two. What is the reason justifying the 'do not stack' instructions?
Asked by: Belle
Hello, Belle - I am wondering if you found any answer other than the useless, pat answer given here by the lower level Frigidaire rep. I feel the rep should have escalated your question to someone who could really address your concerns and provide a more thoughtful, thorough response or solution, and clarify why. I too have ordered two of these ovens to install in a stacked configuration. It will be a rare occasion, if ever, that both ovens will be used simultaneously, and never unattended, but I really want the side-swing door as opposed to the standard open-down door, and Frigidaire just doesn't make the swing door in a double oven configuration. Hence, my desire to stack them. I'm guessing your desire/reasoning is similar to mine. Other than the fact that their shape prohibits physically sitting one directly on top of the other, the only issue I can really see, assuming that each oven has the proper & safe electrical wiring, would be anything that interferes with venting of the heat. I was planning to install them on separate shelves where the distance between the bottom of upper unit and the top of lower unit would be at least 6" to 8" apart. I simply can't imagine that there should be any issue when installed that way, but like you, I was hoping for an educated, thoughtful answer from a qualified professional since, admittedly, I may be ignorant of additional extenuating issues. I am aware that Bosch sells a similar side-swing oven at twice the price which comes in both a single "okay to stack" oven as well as a double oven configuration but the problem there, besides the killer price tag, is that it is not offered in black which I prefer, but only in stainless steel. I actually like the looks and features of the Frigidaire better than the Bosch as well, so my preference is not just driven by price, and, as I said, I really want the Black color that only Frigidaire offers. If you could please be so kind as to post again and let me know if you've made any progress on this issue, I would greatly appreciate hearing anything you've learned on this topic. ...Also, are you going ahead with your stacked installation as planned? Thank you in advance!

How does Sabbath mode work?

How does Sabbath mode work?
Asked by: Linda
Hi Linda! Thank you for your inquiry. The Sabbath feature is use for Jewish Sabbath and Holidays. Sabbath mode disables all audible tones or visual display changes on the oven control. Bake is the only cooking feature available while in the Sabbath mode, while oven controls are locked during Sabbath mode. You are able to locate any information pertaining to the Sabbath feature on page 20 in the manual. Hope this helps! -Thanks!-

The outside EXACT width measurements: could it be rounded to 27inches from 26.70 as in some other companies? My width space is tight and might be a problem for 27 inches. Thanks.
Asked by: Gigi
The width is 27'' and the wrapper width of 24 5/8''. However, the more important number is the width of the cutout (the "box" the unit slides in). This model requires a cutout of 24-7/8" / 25-1/4".

The swinging door is dramatically better for your back when putting a heavy tray in the oven. I understand this product is being discontinued which is unbelievable for anyone with a bad back.

The only thing that was harder than it should have been when installing was changing the door to swing the other way. My wife thinks that the fan runs for a very long time after shutting the oven down. But no other complaints. Would definitely recommend.

It met our expectations as far as functionality; however, there are a number of things that we've found: the quality control is not good because there is a misalignment of the door and the control panel. There may be an adjustment to correct the problem but not specified in the installation instructions. No mention of installing the bottom trim. The 9" cutout for the power cable cutout is way too big. Because of these we've given it a good rating. We bought this model specifically because of the side opening feature (only model that does besides the Viking) which did meet our expectation- it's really a good feature; others companies should should copy it. We think it's a good buy--

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to read controls and reach controls. This was the only reasonably priced swinging door oven. Being in a wheelchair makes it easy to use and access. I truly feel very safe using this oven. GREAT JOB FRIGIDAIRE. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Dream Oven I have always wanted a super kitchen so when we purchased our forever home last summer, I began planning the ultimate kitchen appliances to replace the ones that were in the home. This wall oven is my dream oven. I love the way the door opens from the side. It's perfect for a shorter person or for cooking something bulky in the oven. It is much easier to maneuver your items when placing them in the oven to cook. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
