Customer Reviews

30 in. 4.5 cu. ft. Slide-In Gas Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 197.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from somewhat satisfied The stove was not available on the sales floor but was ordered for me so it was difficult to tell by the pictures, but the piece under the knobs is solid black plastic, and sticks out like a bumper on the front. I didn't expect so much black surface on a stainless steel range. Also nowhere in the specs did I see an explanation of the clearances needed for the gas line and the electric plug. I had to have a plumber and an electrician come to complete the installation in order for the stove to fit properly into the space. It replaced a Frigidaire gallery gas range that fit perfectly into that space and was only 7 years old. I chose this range because I wanted the smudge proof stainless, and I also bought the refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I wanted all to match. I would have returned the stove if I hadn't bought all the other Frigidaire appliances as well. The design for the range needs to be more sleek and elegant than what is currently available on this Gallery model. Also there are other brands that offer 5 burners in this price range.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Disappointed! Only the oven works correctly. The burners provide uneven heat. Each burner only goes from high to medium. If you want low heat you have to move the pot to the one small burner that goes from medium to low. The knobs are so crooked that they cut into the metal below them. This makes them stick so that three times I have missed the ignition phase of the dial, then it is on high and pumping out unignited gas and the only choice is to turn it back through ignition to "Off." This produces an explosion right in front of me. After more than two months of waiting for service appts that do no good, then waiting for customer service to call me back, they are finally making noises about replacing it. WHICH I DON'T WANT. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT. I DON'T EVER WANT TO BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL OR ELECTROLUX PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE. If you have older appliances that work for you, save your money! The older appliances were built so much better than the junk they are turning out now! I am returning this piece of junk and buying the oldest gas range I can find.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's noisy they mention no where that whenever the oven is on there is a fan that runs (NOT the convection fan) to cool the 'parts' of the range - this is a loud fan so forget the quiet cup of coffee while the roast is in the oven. Oh, and this fan doesn't vent up from the rear of the cooktop, it vents straight out right above the oven door hitting your midsection as you try to cook on the stove top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Look Nice sleek look with my new kitchen and cooks wonderfully. Love the timed bake feature that shuts off the oven automatically. Easy to clean top as well. However, Frigidaire needs to look into the engineering of the back of the stove. You sell an "accessory" to close the gap between the range top and the wall when you know full well the stove will never go back all the way. Therefore the trim kit should be included with the stove. AND I had to have my granite countertops notched as instructed in the manual, but would not have had to notch quite as deep if I had known this would not solve the gap problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fine range/oven combo. Everything is fine except the door ...springs closed very hard. In the past, when I bought new appliances, I also received a broiler pan, this oven did not have one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not real happy with this range. We bought this range 3 years ago when we remodeled our kichen. We looked far and wide for a slide in range that would serve our needs. When we found this one, we thought we had found exactly what we wanted. Sad to say, it has not lived up to it's name. The top is impossible to clean even when cleaned daily. We have tried many products, none of which have made a dent in cleaning it. The cook top is out of balance with the oven. When one is balanced, the other isn't. When the oven fan is running (either when the oven is on or cooling down) the cooktop vibrates loudly. Now the oven will not turn on, which we believe is due to a defective ignitor. We are very dissapointed with this range and remember when frigidaire products were considered top of the line. We are sorry that we made this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the noisy fan I bought this in November. The cooling fan that runs continually while the oven is very noisy. I’ve had it looked at and have been told that is just the way it is. Very bad design flaw. Wish I had not bought this stove.
