Are all four burners induction or just the front right?

Asked by: Curt
All burners are induction. Also, they sense what size pan you are using -- which is cool.

Does the induction burner light up when cooking?

Does the induction burner light up when cooking?
Asked by: ACL
No, but if any induction surface is hot due to the heat transferred back down from a pot, the "Hot Surface" indicator light will be on.

We've been using our new stove for just under a month and so far we're very happy with it. We've had to rethink how we cook though, as this is the first induction cooktop we've ever had. We caught on though, after a little trial and error. Induction cooking is much more efficient than our old electric range. We really like the convection oven; food cooks faster and browns more evenly than with a conventional oven, although this range offers both and they both work well. My only complaints so far are minor ones: I wish there was a switch to turn on the oven light so I could see the food in the oven without having to open the oven door, which shuts off the fan and allows heat to escape. And when using the convection oven, the fan is a bit noisy. But other than these minor issues we've been very pleased with our purchase. I would recommend this range to anyone looking to upgrade from a conventional electric oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it love it I have had my Frigidaire induction stove for 16 months and I love it. Good points Burners heat quickly and cool down quickly Can clean up spills almost immediately as soon as you move pot or pan from burner just using a clean wet cloth. Safety. Impossible to leave burner on. Within seconds of removing pot the heat signal will flash and then turn burner off if pan is not put back quickly. Never have to clean burners or gas grills again. There is an extra keep warm burner to heat plates. Convection oven is amazing!! Baked goods come out perfectly. Roasts are evenly cooked and probe works perfectly to reach needed internal temp on poultry or beef. Negatives No electrical plugs Check stove top and clean with recommended glass top cleaner as soon as you have stove installed and check for any small cracks or scratches. Be extra careful with glass stove top. Items dropped on or slid across top can easily scratch. I just keep bread baskets in cupboard over stove so no chance of heavy articles dropping on stovetop

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware I bought a suite of appliances. After 2-1/2 years the electronic control for both the range and refrigerator failed. fridgidaire paid a portion of the parts required but my out of pocket was still $300 to replace and install. The oven drip pan was damaged during cleaning also. Not enough accountability from manufacturer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disapointed in the large burner "P" setting. We purchased this range because of the Power setting that would boil water like a gas range. 3 of the burners work as expected, the large burner however, using the "P" setting only works if the pan covers the very outside of the burner (that's a large pot). Here is what they their advertising says 'Auto Sizing™ Pan Detection Make fluffy pancakes with ease using Auto Sizing™ Pan Detection that automatically senses the size of your pan to only send heat to whatever small, medium, or large pan you are using." With the P setting it does not do that. I could not find anywhere that says that. The service guy came to check it but the factory told him the pan has to cover the entire burner. We still think something is wrong with it because the other burners don't have to cover the entire burner. Basically we are very happy, so far, with this range. If they had made it clear about the "P" setting we would still have purchased it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have used the self clean option twice and both times it left permanent damage on the oven door. The first time I used the 2 hour clean cycle and a burn mark showed up on the metal between the two glass panels on the door. The second time I used the 3 hour cycle and heat escaped and left a permanent burn mark on the top of the door on the stainless steel finish. The oven is 8 months old. Frigidaire will not do anything about it except send me some stainless steel paint and a new gasket. They consider it cosmetic, which is not covered on the standard warranty or our extended warranty. Unfortunately I will not try using the self clean cycle again for fear there will be even more damage. I LOVE the induction cooktop though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features I bought this a month ago and I am getting used to its features. I very much like the heating elements on the stove top. The oven temp is higher than preset temp, yet manual says do not compare temp with store bought oven thermometers. Haven't tried to make cookies yet. Oven temp seems more accurate when I use the quick bake and fan. I have also noticed the big burner does not heat well. I think it is defective and will call repair to check it out. Pans don't burn on the bottom. Easy to have steady heat for cooking. Easy cleaning. You can set paper towels on the stove without fire risk. Well worth getting a few different pans for use (bottom of pan must hold magnet). Owned 6 months with no problems. Two drawbacks thus far: Dot indicator lights are aimed for someone 5 feet tall. The minimum oven temp should be 140-145 F instead of 165 F for keeping foods warm without overcooking.
