Hi, can an extension cord be used to run from the electrical outlet to the heat cable? If so, what would be the max cord length? Thanks.
Asked by: MNmatt
Since the description does not include either a power draw or a current draw specification, it's impossible to know for certain what gauge extension cord would be required. A small gauge cord cord feeding to this 'heater' could cause a fire. Use a heavy duty one.

Asked by: Evan
I leave it on as long as there is snow on the roof. I unplug the system when it is raining, or melting.
