Yes, this brand is a little thicker. You cannot shrink it too tight or it pulls away. Leave a couple inches extra of plastic in case you have to re-tape.

Dont waste your hard earned money
I have used frost king many times in my life. It has been years since I've used it. It used to be good but they've cheapened it up. The tape doesn't hold the plastic rips to easy and the tape peals paint off of the trim. I call them about this particular Box and they said they would send me a new one that was a month ago. They don't stand up behind their product and they don't do what they say. I would recommend that you do not waste your money on this product. They have lossed this customer .

double sided tape ineffective and shrink film melts
I did the first test window yesterday. I washed the window frame and then used alcohol to degrease. I had some trouble separating the tape from the backer paper. as I was sticking the border tape down I noticed that the tape didn't stick very well. I got the film up and started blow drying it and the film actually melted where the dryer was not touching and on medium heat. the next day, the corner peeled off in the night. more than a waste of money, also a waste of time.

Poor double side tape strenght
If you want to use these sheets you really need to find another double side tape from a different manufacturer . It won't mater how thick are the sheets, the tape won't hold up more than a week.

I cover my windows every year and I found that if you shrink this tight as a drum, it will pull away at least on one side. I usually use “Duck” crystal clear but I wanted to try this thicker one. Plan on one window per sheet.

I put window kit on 6 large windows. Film pulled away from tape after a couple of days. Tried to stick film back on tape, but kept pulling loose again. I decided to remove film and tape and go with different product. I was unable to remove double sided tape from painted window trim. What a mess! This is the first and last time I will use Frost King product.

Installed this hd film with larger width tape roll it came with, per the instructions as I have for many years without significant issues. Three weeks later one by one, tape is releasing from all of the windows, no matter how many times I try and reseal it. We’re talking 15 windows that I have to redo again. Won’t waste my time and money on this product again.

I use this product every winter, living in a windy environment and the Heavy Duty works well, was glad Frost King came out with this version. Only complaint I have is not with the product, but with Home Depot no longer carrying this product on their store shelves, instead, having to order it online.

Frost king poor quality
I own a mobile home so I use window film every year. Have purchased 3M brand for 14 years and had great results. Gave this Frost King brand a try and within one week 14 of 16 windows I did had the plastic fall off. The tape stuck well to the window frames, it's the plastic film falling off the tape. It's upsetting enough that I wasted my money on a defective product, let alone the hassle of doing all my windows again.
