Product Details

EnergyGuard Polyiso Insulated Sheathing is made of bilaminate (aluminum and kraft) facers bonded to a core of polyiso foam. EnergyGuard Polyiso Insulated Sheathing is suitable for use in both new and retrofit construction. EnergyGuard Polyiso Insulation Sheathing also helps reduce air infiltration and act as a vapor retarder.
  • EnergyGuard polyiso insulated sheathing is a great option for helping to reduce energy costs due to its high R-value per inch
  • Polyiso sheathing eliminates thermal bridging by covering the studs and adds additional insulation to the rest of the wall
  • Because of its light weight, this material is easy to handle on the job site and installs faster, providing the installer with simplified fabricating on site
  • Can be used for cavity, masonry and stud walls, exterior stucco, re-siding, and vaulted ceilings

        A:  Yea, i would do something like that with this sheathing. I'd have no prob using this in between metal roofing and beadboard. Sort of as an insulation i assume is your goal. But, i don't think you could(or should) "attach" beadboard to the actual sheathing, but I'm sure you know that. It's good stuff, i used it behind siding i replaced on my home. It's same thing as what we used to call "Tyvec". I'd get it thick as you can for in between metal roof and your ceiling. To sum up, imo that's fine. Good luck!

Took off old, rotted pieces, needed some foam backing board before nailing up the new siding, Home D had plenty in stock. I got the 1" as that's what was on house to begin with. Perfect. Cuts w razor knife, easily. Nailed back up w roofing tacks. Looks like the original builders work(but better cuz it's new!)
