I couldn't find NE330D in the product documents I searched, so I can't confirm it is Fox Hollow Gray. The documents I searched identify colors by name, not by a code like that. They do show Fox Hollow Gray as a Timberline HDZ color, but they don't list a color code or SKU for it. I also didn't find anything on NE330D in the external market sources. Where NE330D came from would help me narrow this down. It could be on a bundle label, a distributor price list, or an order system, and one of those may use an internal item code. I can also look for other Timberline HDZ colors that are regional or have different coding.
You need 2 bundles. TimberTex Premium Ridge Cap Shingles cover approximately 20 lineal feet per bundle Calculated: 30 linear feet ÷ 20 linear feet per bundle = 1.5, which rounds up to 2 bundles. The input is the 20 lineal feet per bundle
The Timberline HDZ Charcoal Algae Resistant Laminated High Definition Shingles carry a UL 2218 Class 3 impact-resistance rating, not Class 4. The Class 4 rating applies to the separate Timberline UHDZ line, which uses UltraMat technology specifically to achieve that higher classification
GAF does offer coverage that reaches 50 years, but it comes through an upgraded warranty tier rather than being a standard feature of every shingle, including the Timberline HDZ you asked about. Timberline HDZ specifically carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects as standard, meaning it lasts as long as the original owner(s) of a single-family detached residence owns the property, not a fixed 50-year term
Standard Timberline HDZ (in Barkwood) is not one of the Title 24 / cool-roof rated colors. GAF's California Cool zone-by-zone chart lists only specific Timberline HDZ colors, Birchwood, Fox Hollow Gray, Golden Amber, and Copper Canyon (in the tradeoff zone), as meeting Title 24 requirements; Barkwood is not among them
Mission Brown is described as emulating "the rustic shades and tones of the earth," providing a simple natural backdrop that allows other colors to appear richer and brighter . It is categorized in the color availability guide as dark brown — so it definitively pulls brown, not gray. Comparing to Shakewood and Barkwood: Shakewood is described as "an appealing blend of browns, tans, and gold" — a warm, radiant color that pairs well with neutral beige and clay tones as well as deeper jewel tones It is classified as brownish gray , meaning it sits between brown and gray, with a warmer undertone. Barkwood is described as a "neutral brown" that emulates wood and coordinates with warm colors like beige, taupe, cream, gold, and yellow . It is classified simply as brown Bottom line: Mission Brown runs the most purely brown of the three. Barkwood is also solidly brown but more neutral/wood-toned. Shakewood is the one that introduces gray into the mix (brownish gray), so if a customer wants something that reads more gray-brown, Shakewood would be the closer alternative. One important note from GAF: it is difficult to reproduce color clarity and actual color blends in print or digital media, so always ask to see several full-size shingles before a final selection
Neither -- the Timberline HDZ Pewter Gray is actually a Lifetime Limited Warranty shingle, which goes beyond both 20 and 25 years . Specifically, it carries: Lifetime coverage against manufacturing defects (for original individual owners of a single-family detached residence) 25-year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty against blue-green algae discoloration Eligibility for the WindProven Limited Wind Warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation, when installed with the required GAF accessories
Timberline HDZ Weathered Wood shingles are Class 3, not Class 4, for impact resistance under the UL 2218 Impact-Resistance Test . Weathered Wood is confirmed as one of the available High Definition colors in the Timberline HDZ line If Class 4 impact resistance is a requirement, GAF's Timberline UHDZ (Ultra High Definition) line would be worth exploring as a step up.
