Hello, thank you for your question. TimberTex ridge cap shingles are installed on the hip and ridges of the roof and have 110 mph wind speed coverage, with the option for 130 mph maximum wind speed coverage with special application detail (which is covered in the installation instructions). If you're interested in the actual field shingles, may we recommend GAF Timberline HDZ shingles. For further information, please give our technical team a call at 1-800-ROOF-411. Thank you.
Hello, in order to estimate the needed amount of Timbertex Hip and Ridge Shingles, you'd have to measure the amount of lineal feet of ridge and hip area on your roof. You would then divide that by 20, as each bundle of Timbertex contains 20 lineal feet when installed at 8" exposure. Thank you for your question.
Hi Ken, you would have to measure the lineal feet of ridge and hip area on your roof in order to estimate how many bundles of TimberTex would be needed. Each bundle covers 20 lineal feet of ridge or hip area. These are double-layer ridge caps with 8" exposure. If you have further questions, please reach out to our technical team at 1-800-ROOF-411. Thanks for your question.
