Ok as long as no one kicks or hits with something like a shovel. The shingles are very fragile.
Hello, we're sorry for your experience, but the Profile 12 siding should absolutely have 18 pieces per bundle. If there was an issue, we recommend you contacting your local Home Depot to address this situation. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hello, thank you for your question. These shingle are intended to be installed with 11" exposure. Shrinking the exposure down may require you to pre-drill holes in the previous course of siding as the fasteners for each subsequent course sit on top of the previous course's shingle top edge. Thus shrinking the exposure would then cause the fastener to be driven through previous course. Thank you.
Hello, the WeatherSide Profile 12" product is a 12"x24" sized product and it is installed with 11" exposure. Thank you for your question.
Sorry but no Must by bundle
Yes. They sell the strips pre-cut to fit the length of the tiles.
Yes
Stan, is the 2200 sq ft the area of wall you are covering or the area of the floor in your home. You need to determine the wall surface, like you do for buying gallons of paint. If the 2,200 number is your wall surface the specs say each bundle will cover approx. 33 sq ft. So you would need 2200/33= 67 bundles. At 110 bucks a bundle you are really looking at an expensive siding job. 67 x 110 = 7,370 dollars. I would be contacting a siding company for a bulk price instead of doing this by the bundle purchase.
Normally OSB or plywood is a backer for siding. Use 7/16 or 1/2 inch plywood. Can be put in solid wood too, normally found in older homes, 3/4 inch thick.
The shingles are a special order, so you must buy them by the bundle. I have not seen single shingles sold in the store in a decade unless it was a return HD was looking to resell.
