Baytown II Bulb 1-Light Black LED Outdoor Solar Post Light with Wall Sconce and Pier Base Mount Options

We bought this for the top of a brick mailbox. Wasn't sure how it would work but it is bright. Worth the price even though I am cheap and thought it was on the pricey side. The light in the front shining on the numbers is from somewhere else.

I wish the system was set up to give fewer than one star. After a few weeks it didn’t even stay on all night. It lasts approximately two hours even though sitting in full sun. Getting ahold of the manufacturer for a replacement battery is laughable at best. Now they claim the part was delivered to me over a week ago, because the USPS says it was. I strongly urge you to look for another manufacturer if you want to purchase a solar light. I know that we will be doing that as well. I’m attaching a picture of the receipt so you can see that we are an actual customer who actually purchased this product. We. Are. Very. Dissatisfied. !

Easy versatile installation and stays lit all night long.

These lamps so far are amazing! I didnt want to run wires through the garage so solar was my option. They come on at night abd turn off at day. At 5 am they are as bright as at 8 pm!

From the box, its a nice sturdy unit. It requires assembly based on your mounting application. After taking the items from the housing, there are 4 screws required to be fastened. However the factory only drilled 2 holes. I had to drill two more through a thin chrome reflector plate. In the process the 4 dabs of glue broke off and it fell apart. After repairing it and reassembling it we were ready to roll The light requires 6 hours of light to charge which is not a lot to ask for. The 4 solar panels on the top give it plenty of opportunity for direct sun. The rain did somehow get into the housing. I did not see any rubber gaskets during the assembly process and perhaps the were omitted or not required. Regardless they should be included with the upgraded version. The light was on high all night starting at 9pm and was still illuminating at 6am. Good enough for me.

I have numerous of these lights in my yard and just love them. All the brightness of a wired fixture, none of the hassle. WHAT YOU GET: The pre-assembled light fixture with four solar panels built in, one panel on each side to catch the light all day long. Post mount for 3 inch post (no post included) Wall mount. Flat mount Solar only LED bulb. Mounting hardware. WHAT YOU NEED: A location that gets at least 6 hours of direct sun per day. A proper 3 inch post if you wish to post mount this. A wall or eave if you want to wall mount it. Flat surface to use the flat mount. Drill and screwdriver for wall and flat mount. USE AND INSTALL: Installation is easy. This will go on either a post, flat or a wall mount, all three mounts are included. You will either mount the post mount on top of your existing light post or drill and screw the wall mount to your preferred wall or eave or flat surface like a deck or pier. Once secured to the mount of your choice, let this charge for at least six hours in full sun. After it's charged flip the switch to light level 1 or 2 depending on how much light you want to shine all night long. That's it, it's ready to work for years on the included rechargeable battery. The battery can be replaced if it stops working after a couple years. BRIGHTNESS: The new bulb they use is brighter than old models and can be selected either level 1 or level 2. Level 1 is a nice ambient light, good enough to path lighting and general effect. Level 2 is bright enough to read by and is excellent for security lighting of porches, garages and yards. I like that it looks just like a real wired bulb inside the fixture. It has a soft white classical yellowish glow to it just like an incandescent bulb. OVERALL: This is a great light, I have more than one and they not only look great, they work well. They run all night on a charge and are bright enough to read by, just like a regular bulb. I recommend this brand of solar light.

So I got this because I was finally decided against taking on the project of hard-wiring my patio for lights given the improvements that I've seen in solar lighting. My initial impression of this product was negative because I didn't realize that the housing would be plastic instead of metal (assumed metal based on the price). That said, as long as you don't drop it, I can see there being a practical case for plastic as I won't have to worry about it rusting. Anyways, putting it together was fairly easy although a bit confusing at first blush. I do like the two brightness settings and will try them out once I've purchased a couple of more. I found the brightness to be adequate given that I have a large space and am planning on adding more lights (wasn't expecting it to light up the whole area). The light has thus far been lasting throughout the night, but I can see how it might not if there's a few cloudy days in a row. All-in-all, I've been very happy with it thus far and my only concern is how long the LED bulb will last. Generally, they're good for 50,000+ hours so hopefully that's the case. I almost forgot to mention that it produces 130 lumens worth of light which is more than I've seen for other solar lighting products.

I really do love these Gama Sonic Solar Lamps. They have several designs to choose from, and so far I have 3 different ones. They are extremely well made, and very versatile. Each Lamp has at least 3 different configurations to choose from. The bulbs last for 3 years, and are easily replaced. Their Customer Service is beyond comparison. I truly love the overall designs, and the versatility of a choice of installations. It only takes a few hours for the Lamp to charge up in the full sun, and I already know from experience that the glow lasts all night long.
