Product Overview

  • 20x stronger than #30 felt
  • 5x more coverage per roll than #30 felt
  • Withstands up to 6 months of exposure
Tri-Flex XT underlayment is a high strength woven synthetic roofing underlayment coated on both sides with slip resistant polymers. The new and improved coating formulation provides superior foot traction. This composition creates a tough, weather-resistant membrane designed to perform in the harshest conditions in North America.
  • Improved slip resistant surface - new coating provides superior foot traction
  • Lighter and covers more area - a roll of underlayment is around half the weight of #30 felt, and has nearly 5 times the coverage
  • Stronger - Tri-Flex XT roofing underlayment is 20 times stronger than felt and won't tear away from nails even in high winds
  • More durable - Tri-Flex XT underlayment can be left exposed for up to 6 months, it doesn't dry out or rot at high temperatures and doesn't crack or become brittle at low temperatures
  • Facilitates faster and easier installation - the lighter rolls make the 1-person application fast and easy, it also means fewer trips up the ladder and lower labor costs
  • Replaces the discontinued item: Tri-Flex 48 in. x 250 ft. synthetic roll roofing underlayment
  • Grace construction products are now brought to you by GCP Applied Technologies
  • Complies with ASTM E108/UL 790 for use in the installation of Class A asphalt glass fiber mat shingles and Class C asphalt organic felt or metal shingles

Questions & Answers

Can this product be use in a flat mobile home roof??

Asked by: Maya
This is meant for use as an underlay for permanent roof covering, usually as a temporary covering to waterproof and protect roof sheeting during construction. It will not last long if left exposed as a permanent roofing material.

Product description is .04 after I order the product fella like .004

Asked by: ZZZ
Something isn't right here and perhaps the manufacturer should answer this question. The product description here says .04 inch thick which equals 40 mils (1000 mils to an inch). The product paper from the manufacturer says this material is 7 mils thick. That is equal to .007 inch. The observation by ZZZ that this material is .004 inch is probably closer to reality.
