I bought this to replace an old one of same type I was having a problem with. Previous one appeared to be blowing fuse due to excessive heat at top of fuse holder caused by high switch resistance. After replacement, worked OK for about a year, but after turning on and off a few times the middle fuse started blowing. Traced it to excessive heat due to high switch resistance (probably due to arcing and wear on switch contact material and lack of spring tension). Heat was obvious with IR camera. At 44 amps middle switch shows 290 degrees F!! It appears this switch cannot handle high continuous loads. Would probably work much better with a forked switch contact than a single sided blade. Do not buy for high load use!!!

Home Depot has this item listed as TG 4321. However that GE model is a 3 pole (3-phase) switch and the item Home Depot is selling here is only a 2 pole single phase item.

I needed a new safety switch for a Radial Saw and no local store had what I needed. Home Depot does not stock these in their local store. I went on line and ordered it through Home Depot Online. The switch is a well made and durable which should last for many years of use. The safety feature of this switch is well made and positive on and off.
